Would RecommendWhen assembling this unit, we could not get the gas cap off. We had several men try. I called Lowe’s to tell them and the man who answered said well, try harder. We finally had a neighbor get it off and the seal was put on backwards!!! What a nightmare that was and to know that Lowe’s didn’t care was ridiculous!

Not Gone With the Wind, Thankfully
Would RecommendReasonably priced, available, ready to run except for gas right out of the box, minimum assembly.

Low Total Harmonic Distortion
Would Not RecommendCon: An older model that's been around awhile, basic controls and design. Manual pull start, not push start. 30 amp 3-way pigtail adapter cord not included. Fuel usage is gas only. Very loud when running. Conventional 30 SAE weight oil, synthetic or blend is better for longevity. Large footprint, bulky, takes up space. Heavy, not well balanced to relocate. Price is too expensive age. Pro: B&S engine with sling lubrication. Low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). USB plug on board, with 120v/20...

Trash product with very poor warranty assistance.
Would Not RecommendBought this product the day before hurricane Milton came through Florida that left over 2 million people without power, followed all instructions to set up out of the box. It ran for about 10 hours and died. It appears to have jumped timing and will not start again, backfires and shooting a flame out of carburetor. It's sad that a company like Lowe's can take advantage of people by not backing a product they sell at 200% profit, and especially right at a time when people are going through a hurr...
so far, a piece of junk
Would Not RecommendI bought this before hurricane Milton. The generator worked one day just fine, but on the second say it would not start. I still cannot get it started. We lost all our perishable food because we depended on this thing. And Briggs and Stratton makes sure that there is no help line to speak to a person for assistance. The phone number they give tells you to go to a web site -- not always possible WHEN THE POWER IS OUT.
Absolutely worthless
Would Not RecommendUsed one time. Then it refuses to start back up. Cleaned everything out, had onky new gas, and still refuses to start. It has no fuel filter system, so if things need to be cleaned, you have to remove the carburetor. There is even no oil drain plug, you have to tilt it on its side. 200 lbs of machinery...
Lowe’s does not take damaged generators back.
Would RecommendEven though the product was damaged it performed

Could not get the generator to start, talked to someone at Lowe's and they said they didn't know what to do about ask him if I could bring it back he said there was a line and didn't know if there was enough generators for me to get another, the Lowe's workers that put it in my truck tilted it so oil got in the filter and clogged it up I will be returning it, sincerely upset

Briggs and Stratton
Would Not RecommendPro: Reliable and starts right up. Cons: the fuel gauge was broken out of the box and Lowe’s will not take it back. Have to send it to an authorized dealer. The website would not assist and also said an authorized dealer is the only one who can address problem. Other issues: states that it will burn 8 gallons in 11 hours at 50% load, I only used a 3-7% of load and it still burns 8 gallons in 11 hours. Very very loud.

Briggs and Stratton generator
Would Not RecommendProduct stopped working after 4 days and Lowe’s refused to exchange for a new system in the middle of a hurricane recovery effort.

It’s a generator
Would RecommendRight out of the box was not giving power. Lowe’s policy is if it is unboxed they will not take it back. Had to take the back cover off and found it was not connected from the factory. Connected everything but the hour meter still did not work. It was powering 240v so the generator works just not right out the box.

Came through during Hurricane Francine
Would RecommendWhen my tri-fuel primary generator would not start, I ran to Lowes and found this generator as a replacement. We all know the reputation of Briggs & Stratton! That said, w/o knowing it, I had flooded the carb and the air filter was soaked. I tried for hours to start it w/o luck until I thought of the filter, removed it and it came right to life! It is a bit heavy but rolls well. I had a main buss connection and this puppy easily powered my 2500 sq ft house and my 3 ton AC at 89%. My ligh...
