Handy-Est Tool in my shop!

I have been using the Bosch Jigsaw for many years in my home workshop! The JS470E is the most universal tool in my shop. It capabilities are endless. Smooth operation, very comfortable and accurate. My wife has used the saw for some of her projects and finds it easy to handle (not too heavy) and very comfortable to operate. A precision jigsaw with quality for many uses!

Steady saw that is constructed excellently.

I'm a weekend warrior, and my very old jigsaw was no longer up to the task of increasing skill when doing things with it. It would vibrate strongly and the shoe on it kept slipping to angles I didn't want. I was done fixing it up. This new saw is a dream to work with. Given proper guidance this cuts very well without a lot of vibration. I have cut some 1/4" thick plexiglass using a steel blade and this saws vibrations are kept in check well enough for the plexiglass not to split or break off. F...

I have had this saw for a good while now and I love it. Easy to change the blade and low vibrations.

Love/Hate

I've used the Bosch jigsaws for 35 years. I do believe they are the best, as I've cut miles of wood, steel and aluminum. I've probably owned 5-6 variations of this model, and have always found them to be fantastic and well worth the money. But...the one I've had for a year or so has to be the worst ever, or maybe I got a "lemon". I've cursed it every time I go to change a blade. I purchased this tool because of the many features and the power. It has performed up to expectations so far.

Controlable power

I purchased the JS470 to replace a much older jigsaw which was underpowered and uncontrollable. I needed to make cuts under control and precisely on 8/4 stock that was too large for my bandsaw. I read all the reviews and purchased the Bosch. I'm not disappointed! I'm a big fan.

I have used several consumer-grade saber saws in the past and even one Craftsman "professional" grade. I never had a lot of luck getting a quality cut. Then I bought the JS470E. At first the cut I was getting wasn't much better than what I had experienced with all the others. Then I noticed I did not turn on the orbital cut action. What a difference. Perfectly straight cuts! Show Me Better

I had my other saber saw from Bosch for 12 years and passed it down to my nephew who just turned out as a plumber. It served me faithfully for all that time and just starting out he is more than happy to have it now. I was glad that he understands now that having a quality tool like Bosch means a lot when you have a project that needs to be done right.

Has been an excellent tool

I have had this saw for 21 years and it has seen a lot of use over the years. I have cut wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel with it. If it ever gives up on me, I will certainly purchase another Bosch like this one. Before I retired I work in construction and maintenance for 40 years and have use different brands of jigsaws as well as other power tools and this one was and still is my favorite jigsaw.

Well built

I have owned and used other brands of jig saws but this saw is the best. It is a well built tool with several great features. Well worth the price.

Totally solid

This is the finest hand jig saw I have ever used. Solid. Great feeling when in the hand. Incredibly accurate with no drifting of the blades. So, I have purchased 2. One each for my 2 woodworking boys. Do you think I have mine yet? Nope and the kids live on each coast and I live in the middle, so no borrowing. Cannot wait to get mine!!

Body Slammed

We were rushing to get in from a thunderstorm. The Bosch JS470E got yanked off the back of the pickup truck by it's power cord and landed on the blacktop. No damage, no scratches, no sign of taking a hit. It still runs like a champ. Impressive.

Solid jig

Smooth power

This is by far the best jigsaw I have ever used. So smooth and powerful with no vibration! I was shocked that I could follow my line. My old jigsaw vibrated so much I hated to use it because I couldn't follow my line. I just love it and find ways to use it on which I would never have used my old one.

I've had this saw for more than a year now and love it. Stable and powerful which makes any work easy. Doesn't overheat and remains smooth throughout the cut.

EXCELLENT!

I own several Bosh tools including two jigsaws. One I used exclusively and the other I loaned to friends.
