Great tool!

I brought this because my old, old Bosch jigsaw was unable to be repaired - parts not available. This model has the same weight and feel of my old one and I am happy to use it with new features. I don't like the plexi-guide as I can't see the blade as well. Love everything else about it.

Amazing saw

Very good saw, did all my cute nice and straight and perfect circles, has very nice handle as well.

Firm control of movement and accurate cutting.

This jigsaw is very good at curved and straight line cuts. No veering or wable of blade action!

Beautiful tool

I'm only using this and other tools for DIY stuff at my house. I wanted to purchase the best tool I could afford and I believe this is the case here. I love this saber saw and I have zero regrets. It is beautiful. It works amazingly well and I would buy it again if I could.

This saw has all the power you’ll ever need or want!

Solid, powerful, easy set up

I bought this saw for a high school shop class that we started this year. I have only had one opportunity to use it, but found it very easy to set up and it cut well. Blade replacement is extremely easy with the sliding quick release mounted at the front of the saw. The base seems very sturdy and well made, and the saw cut across the grain of a piece of plywood with minimal tear out. Not cheap, but definitely worth what you spend.

I tried to be cheap at first and got the Porter Cable PCE345. Didnt like it. It wasnt much better than a black and decker that i have. Returned it and bought the Bosch. It was awesome! cuts so smooth and accurate. I also like the blower that keeps the saw dust away from my cuts.

Great Jigsaw

I have had an old "plastic" jig saw for over 35 years and hated to use it because it would skip all over the place and didn't cut well. We were visiting a friend recently and he showed me this saw and I was impressed so I bought one and it is great. The weight of the saw is more substantial than my old saw and it cuts like a dream. The blades are easy to change and the dust blower works great. True, it would be nice to have a light to make cutting easier, but I can live without the light bec...

Blade has a lot of side action

This is the first and only jigsaw I have owned, but I would say I am definitely on the negative end of the spectrum regarding my experience. I've used it on several occasions and have yet to have a satisfactory cut even with guides etc in place. I've even upgraded the blade and still had a lot of uneven cuts/side action.

Couldn't believe how good it cuts

Cut smoother and doesn't bog down like mt old B&D , Grizzly

Works great.

Easy to use. Easy to change blades. Long cord. Heavy duty. The only problem is me. I'm not used to a saw that will actually cut such sharp turns. Nice tool.

Solid Performer

I put this saw through its paces and it has come up aces. Smooth and stead, straight cuts are a breeze. It is a little on the heavy side, but it helps with stability.

Wonderful tool.

So pleased with the quality feel, stability and performance. Easy to use and love the blade change quick release and eject slide lever.

Very powerful

First time I used it , was impressed. Very powerful Used it to cut out for double kitchen sink. on a 1 3/4 " solid wood butcher block counter top.

Continuous changes

I've used Bosch jig saws for years. I bought this one a month ago and it has improvements over my previous (10 year old) unit. This one is heavier, a little distracting. It cycles at a higher rate. The blade change feature takes some learning, but appears to be an improvement. I was able to repair my old unit until the gear box failed. I'm expecting to use this one as long on major projects.

Great Hole Cutter

I purchased the Bosch JS470E to replace my old jig saw. I was making a unique piece of art for my yard that needed many different sized holes cut in it. This jig saw worked wonderfully in all my hole cutting. I'm on to other new projects that I can use my new saw for. Love the heftiness and stability of the saw.

I like the variable speed

Heavier then expected but vary solid hold once started

Powerful

I had hard maple wood to cut but my old jigsaw couldn't cut but burned the wood. This Bosch jigsaw cuts the hard wood like butter.
