Would RecommendI've had this for several years. In general, it's well constructed and easy to adjust and use. I loaned it to a friend who threw the saw when he cut the cord. He had the cord replaced. After he was no longer around, I went to use the saw and discovered the foot had been warped and the adjustable depth lever, while usable, is no longer secured to the end of the post. I deal with the lever - just a minor inconvenience. However, the replacement foot is apparently made of gold - it cost me 1/3 the o...

Work Horse
Would RecommendThis is my second Bosch skill saw. Had my other one nearly 8 years. If it wasn't for the fact it got knocked off a pier into the water, I would still be using my old one. Tried Dewalt, Makita and craftsman but this holds up the best.

Poor base design for rip fense.
Would Not RecommendThe base is worthless for using with the rip fence if you want to rip anything over 8" wide.

Nope. Taking it back tomorrow.
Would Not RecommendI purchased this saw because my $30 skilsaw that I've had for nearly 2 decades was just tired. So, I decided to splurge and buy a "nicer" saw. First the good. When the saw cuts, it slides much nicer across the wood than the skilsaw ever did. Now the bad, the saw is just underpowered. I spent the weekend cutting 3/4' and 1/4" bird plywood for a french cleat system I'm installing in my woodshop. I also purchased a nice plywood plywood so I could get clean cuts. After so many bog downs and k...

No rip guide
Plenty of power, high quality, but rip guide sold separately--annoying.
Thank you for your review. Yes, the rip fence for the circular saw is sold separately. You may check WD7RIP for your tool. Also, your comment will be...
Love Bosch - but NOT THIS ONE
Would Not RecommendMight edit this later, but this is poorly built saw. Cheap plastic lever and gear for depth adjustment was a problem from the first use - it's weird how you have to pull/rotate/re-engage to make an adjustment . . . almost like a manual ratcheting action. It soon broke - that's when I discovered the very thin spring inside and discovered the lever is mounted to an easily stripped cheap plastic piece. Broke in less than 6 months of very light use. Now, using it almost daily doing handyman/remod...

The lever to adjust to a 2x4 cut would not lock tightly. The lever had no adjustment for tightening and the setting slipped deeper several times during use. Also the saw is too heavy compared to saws we currently prefer.

I like this saw.
Would RecommendNo trouble cutting the 2 by material for the project. I like how the blade guard springs closed after the cut is completed. This saw has a solid feel and performed well. Thanks a lot for a great value for the price.

Bosch circular saw.
Would RecommendI purchased mine about 2 weeks ago and already have benefited from from its versatility. The feature that drew me to this circular saw was the depth stops for 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 inch depth's. This way I won't be cutting into the saw horses to a point rendering them worthless. Because of this feature I am able to cross cut and rip boards of various thicknesses and not have to worry about cutting my saw horse in half. This is a feature my Black and Decker and my Craftsman circular saws did ...

Great Upgrade from the "yellow"
Would RecommendI had the YELLOW brand for years. I wanted to upgrade and went with Bosch. I was not a fan of the blade that came with it, but the saw is excellent!

I have a number of other Bosh tools and have been happy with them so for the price I gave this one a go. What I liked was the quick stops on the depth setting. This is also a problem though because when you want to fine tune the depth the saw falls into the preset depth locations. That was a pain. I read about how other people had trouble getting a straight cut. It took me a little time to get use to this but I was able to cut straight with it. I cut a lot of wood before writing this review. Great Saw with lots of power and comfort
Would RecommendI bought this saw for my addition framing. Great saw. Haven't stalled it yet. Only negative thing is the locking handle for depth. Becarefull when pulling out to reposition it will pop off.

Priced right.
Would RecommendReplaced an old Porter Cable. Have used it only a few times, not on 2x maple, yet. Power seems comparable. Between this and Makita. Would like a light. Used with a Kreg rip jig, taking a while to set up as an extra 1/4 inch of base in front would have helped. Love the depth adjustment. Overall, adjustments seem well thought out and are durable. I'll know more by the spring, hope for heavy use.
