Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Residential Wood Playset

Canyon Creek Playset

Great instructions through app. Looking forward to years of enjoyment

looks nice but the material seems flimsy

took me and a pal 8 hours to build from start to finish. all of the pieces alone didnt seem strong, but when put together it was pretty sturdy. be very careful when moving some of the bigger components around once theyre put together as they can snap pretty easily. there were some really inconveniently placed knots on the wood and not all of the pilot holes lined up. make sure to have a bunch of drill bits handy. and make sure you put this together exactly where you want it because its not movin...

Nice Swing set but could be better

I know this isn’t the most expensive swing set but for the price I definitely thought the quality would be better. We had pieces that didn’t align with the pre drilled holes and wood that I feel like is going to snap in half if a few kids stand in the fort. My 2.5 year loves it which was the goal but I don’t think it’ll last as long as we’d hoped.

Concerning Lumber Quality

The grandkids love the playset, and it only took about 13 hours for 3 adults to assemble (a lot of parts), but when purchasing from Lowe's, I have come to expect a certain quality of lumber, and this kit did not have it. Most of the tower is built out of very soft wood that I would not even grade as standard for construction projects. Even when the pilot holes were pre-drilled, multiple pieces split out at the hint of a screw (one such photo of many attached). This caused an added expense and...

Perfect swing set!

We bought this for our two children ages 6 and 2 and they absolutely love it! They are both able to use it and play together or independently and always have a blast. They love the grill out and even use the picnic table portion for outdoor lunch days. Our 6 year old enjoys the rock fall feature best. They play for hours and this has been a great addition to our backyard.

Dont buy unless you love no communication

HORRIBLE service! There is no one to call to find out what is going on with delivery. The links they text you dont work. I spent WAY too much money for this kind of service. They were supposed to call 1/2 hour before arriving and send picture of delivery. Never happened.

Great purchase!

Have had it for almost a year now and it is still beautiful and sturdy and kids have tons of fun on it. Thank you so very much!

Great Swing Set

I bought this about a month ago for my child’s second birthday. So far, it has been a worthwhile investment. It’s just the right size for him. He loves the rock wall and slide and likes to cook up hotdogs for us on the grill. It’s perfect for warm days when we don’t have quite enough time to go out or make it to the park. My favorite part is the more time he spends outside, the cleaner the inside of my house stays! Assembly was long but definitely worth it in the end. He loves the play set!

Great for the kids!

I bought this almost a year ago and our 2 year old absolutely loves playing with it. Everyday the weather is nice she is swinging from it. The slide and the rock wall have become more of a hit lately. My only recommendations and suggestions are to make sure it sits level and be careful letting older, reckless kids on it. Although it is mainly sturdy, the wood may not withstand bigger kids jumping and kicking. It makes us nervous. Also, even though this is the first year we are about to stain it ...

Perfect

Three year old grandson loves it! The assembly was was pretty overwhelming but worth it.

We love it but the quality could be improved

We absolutely love this swingset and the instructions on the app were wonderful! Only issue is some of the pieces just cracked the minute you put a screw in it so I have to deal with a warranty claim but other than that it is wonderful!

Wonderful Playset

I bought this for my granddaughter who is 2 years old and she loves it. It is very sturdy and everything was high quality. It took almost a week to put it together. It takes a while just to lay everything out and take inventory of all the pieces. The online building video instructions really helped. Would highly recommend purchasing the Canyon Creek Play house and swing set!

Hours of fun!

I got this swing set as a 2nd birthday/Christmas gift for my son, and he won't stop playing on it. The climbing wall is a little much for him yet, but he'll grow into it soon. While he loves the slide, steering wheel and spyglass, his favorite is definitely the little kitchen and grill. He loves serving us hot dogs and "cooking" for us. Since we put out set on the ground/grass, we put smooth rocks inside the kitchen so that it wouldn't get all muddy when it rains. Every time he sees it out the w...

Awesome product

Awesome description. But the shipper was horrible, supposed to get a 24 hour notice to plan for delivery and got home from work one day no notice with this massive boxes and slide just sitting in my driveway

Perfect for our two year old!

We bought this for our two year old and are in love with it! She’s already obsessed with it and it has everything she needs for when she’s older!

Canyon creek

Overall it is a great playset. We love the look and features but the wood seems fragile. A lot of the wood panels have split so we are unsure how well this is going to hold up over time. Customer service is very responsive and easy to work with.

We’ll thought-out instructions, sturdy, functional, appealing

We LOVE our backyard discovery set. It arrived in about 2 weeks. The instructions were so organized through the paper booklet and the app you can download. It took three adults two full days of working together to build. My husband and dad did the assembly. I did parts and materials organization. I highly recommend 3 people and one dedicated to organizing the hardware into steps. I used little food prep containers and sticky notes to put parts of each step together. I love the coloring of the se...
