Would Not RecommendThe hand held remote doesn’t operate the solenoid on the gas valve. So I have to manually turn it on and off at the gas valve. DO NOT PURCHASE! Over priced for what it doesn’t do!

Would Not RecommendPurchased a GHP ventless gas log fireplace from Lowe’s. Upon professional installation it was discovered that some parts were missing from the factory sealed box. Contacted GHP who said “don’t return the product to Lowe’s, missing parts will be sent to you in 5 to 7 days”. Three weeks later and 4 calls to GHP customer service and still no parts. Would RecommendThis unit is much more economical on Lp than one without the thermostat. The thermostat works great. Our only issue is the popping noise when the flame is shut off - too loud to sleep though.

Would RecommendInstallation was easy, but buy the gas tube connection pack offered with this set. Use a little bit of gas pipe dope on threads of connections. To eliminate the nonsensical periodic shutdown of the fire because of mystery temperature settings on dial, merely pull out the copper thermostat sensor (located on the left side as you look at front) and weave it through the rear extending it to the entry of your fireplace box.
