The inner post tube has sufficient carriage bolt pilot holes for good versatility, but would benefit from pilot holes along its full length, not just the one end. This would not reduce it's structural integrity, at shorter heights, since the unused holes would still remain within the larger bore post tube, but would allow for more versatile and potentially stronger post positions at these shorter ...

Would RecommendBig Moe is definitely big, much bigger than my previous jacks. Construction was easy and installation easy too. 4 of these easily replaced the existing 8 smaller versions I had. Will definately buy these again when in need of floor or beam leveling.

Ideal for floor leveling/support
Would RecommendI used several of these posts in the renovation of a residential structure built in 1900. The existing brick support piers were deteriorating, and I easily replaced them with the Big Moe jack posts. I further used a few jack posts to level sags in the floor, providing a level structure prior to renovations. The structural engineer was impressed with my application of these posts and incorporated their use into the final design.
