Great Heavy Duty Jack

used these to jack up my house to replace rotted sill plates. One at each joist for 10 ft span using 3 ea 2x10 carry beam,. I liked that they are heavy duty and support 10 tons fully extended. My concern with hydraulic jacks is that there may he a hydraulic fail. These are fail-safe when the plates are screwed top and bottom.

Have some type of file or grinder on hand. Ag

Quality assurance must have been off that day. Had to grind the inside of the bigger pole so the other one would fit inside.

Nice solid poles. Good finish and solid build. Would buy again.

Solid Jack Post

Needed a couple of additional jack posts to finish a project and these are the same ones we used earlier with great success. Easy to install & adjust and they provide great support for an old, old house.

Not perfect but a great one-size option

This jack post has the largest height range I have found through numerous searches and supports a weight over 20 tons while being competitively priced to other jack posts. The parts are all heavy duty materials and the adjustments allow the full range of positioning from shortest to tallest fit. Big Moe's are the best!

Big Moe adjustable Jack posts are the best. But when you get right down to it, a Big Moe is only as strong as the bolts that connect the two sections. So I have been wondering what is the sheer strength of the connecting bolts. They don't look that formidable. I'm just kind of assuming they will hold up to the claims of the manufacturer. Bought Two More

After recently purchasing two of these jacks and raising a section of sagging floor, I decided to purchase two more. One pole was okay but the other pole was badly dented at the top where the adjustment screw is supposed to sit. This made the item unusable. The boxes were both sealed and in perfect condition, so Akron must be lacking in quality control. Lowe's was great about doing an exchange for one that was not damaged.

They Seem Okay

This is my first time buying this type of product, so I have nothing to compare them to. I purchased two jack posts because the floor in my old house is starting to sag a little. The first post I opened and put together. I was impressed with it. It seems good quality. The second post I removed from the box and noticed some paint flaking off. I also noticed they did not cut the end smooth at all. It is jagged and poorly done. When standing beside each other they are at noticeable different height...

Met Expectations

Lowes provided good, quick, accurate service! The posts were as advertised. I found them to be better and easier to work with than a number of the previous customer reviews would lead one to expect. I tore each package apart at the store to verify packing contents---all were complete. I am using these posts in a permanent installation and at this moment I believe they will serve the purpose more than adequately. Heavy duty post jack

Heavy duty - has a thicker side wall. My complaint was the screw drive . I bought a total of 12, half of them had large nicks in the screw drive so I had to hand file the barb off so the screw drive was usable.

Stylish structure

We removed our old basement basement door facings and installed these Jack Posts. They look great and are very sturdy. It opens up the entire basement area and we do not have to worry about support! It does the job for support and looks great too.
