Would RecommendI had a OE Smith tank water heater for 25 years, drained it every year or so and it works perfectly fine. Then just like the insurance companies have done with roof shingles (20yrs) they are now sending letters that they will not renew you home owners policy or write a new policy if your tank water heater is more than 15 yrs old. So having no choice I removed a working water heater and replaced it with another OE Smith unit. I hope they still make them as well as the original one i bought fro...

Would RecommendQuick and easy to imstall. I had it installed in about 45 minutes and we had hot water about 2 hours later. This replaced a Reem that was 12 years old that had alway made a slight humming noise. This one is completely silent. I gave it 4 stars only because it wasn't in stock in my area and had to be ordered and its only been installed for 24 hour. But am happy with it so for.

Hot water only sometime
Would Not RecommendAfter installation took a long time for water to get hot. Next day you could barely hold your hand under it and then the next day the water is cold again and this this cycle completes over and over again. I have yet to find the issue.
