Worked find straight out of the package but at the end of day it would not recalibrate to find stud. Sheet rock was the medium we were trying to locate studs in. Maybe just a bad equipment will return to store and try another one.

Would Not RecommendThis thing is horrible. It identifies literally anything as a stud. The only thing it won't properly identify is a piece of wood in a wall known as a stud. You'd have a higher chance of throwing a nail at the wall and hitting the stud. You could put it on your dog and it would, without certainty, light up. Check a wall with it 20 times before screwing into it though? You won't find a stud. This thing is a scam and money stealer. Go waste your money on something that has a higher than 0.5% chance...
