What Customers Are Saying
The metal hose mender can be an effective and economical solution for repairing damaged garden hoses, though the quality of the included clamps is often poor. While the brass or metal coupling itself is generally seen as a good quality component, many reviewers found the clamps to be too narrow, prone to stripping, and unable to be tightened sufficiently to prevent leaks. When used with higher-quality clamps purchased separately, the mender was reported to work well without any leaks.

Be very careful, weak hose clamps strip easily. For $5 they should have better clamps.

The hose clamps that come with the coupler are junk. Purchased 2 HD hose clamps today = success. Come on Lowes!!
Tighten the hose clamps exactly in the middle.
