What Customers Are Saying
The Yardsmith aluminum hose connectors have a mixed performance. Many users found them convenient and time-saving, with the quick-connect design being a standout feature. However, a significant number reported issues such as leaks, corrosion, and poor durability. Some noted the connectors are not made of brass as advertised, but a cheaper aluminum alloy prone to damage. Overall, the quality and reliability are inconsistent, and users recommend using Teflon tape and being cautious when mixing the connectors with other metals to prevent corrosion.

Would Not RecommendIt's impossible to find brass QD's anymore. I bought three of these (along with three matching Female Quick Connector (8808). Being made of aluminum, the male nose gets dinged up pretty easily dragging the hose around the yard. The Female Quick Connector uses a special washer that seals both the faucet connection and the male connector. You can't just replace this washer with a common garden hose washer and expect the male connector to seal as well (I don't know if these special washers are ...
Agree only good for one year
Would Not RecommendI was able to soak them in vinegar to get rid of scale but female side does not work with them. I WAS able to get the male side to attach to an all brass female fitting that I had around but can not find these brass fittings anymore at any price
Good for 1 year only
Would Not RecommendWe purchased several of these fittings in for our front and back hard hoses and several sprinkler attachments. They worked fantasting for 1 season. We store our hoses and sprinker attachments in our garage every winter. When we took them out this spring, the fitting had trace amounts of corrosion and/or scale rending them useless. Last year, they were the easiest quiick connect fitting we had ever used. Now, if you can get two fittings to connect, that connection is peramnent.
