What Customers Are Saying
The Yardsmith aluminum hose connectors have a mixed performance. Many users found them convenient and time-saving, with the quick-connect design being a standout feature. However, a significant number reported issues such as leaks, corrosion, and poor durability. Some noted the connectors are not made of brass as advertised, but a cheaper aluminum alloy prone to damage. Overall, the quality and reliability are inconsistent, and users recommend using Teflon tape and being cautious when mixing the connectors with other metals to prevent corrosion.

Great Product
Would RecommendSaves time connecting and disconnecting a water hose. Wish I had found these a long time ago.

This is a step up from prior quick connects products due to its heavy construction. However there is no way to effectively tighten this end without putting pliers on to the mating surface or removing the rubber protector.

Mr
Would RecommendThe quick coupler is convenient and fast if you have different nozzles or attachments for your water hose. You need the female fitting to go with this male fitting.

Best hose connector I've used
Would RecommendI've used a plastic connector system for years but they kept breaking. I now use this system exclusively and the connectors are durable and effective. One down side is you have to have something connected to the hose or all water stops. So you can't take off the sprinkler and then hand water without putting a "connector" fitted nozzle on the hose. But as the switch is waterless and quick all is well.

Works well
Would Recommendbecause of the small rubber flange it's difficult to tighten with only your hand so it leaks some (unless you use plyers to tighten). Overall great product, but the design could be improved.

Simple and well built
Would RecommendThese hose quick connects are solidly built and seal well. They last for several seasons of use. I tried plastic inthe past but have discarded all of the old plastic connectors.

Great Product
Would RecommendI've got them and the female end where needed on all hose connections including on hose end plant feeders and hand sprayers. They work great and it sure beats having to hand connect all of the different things I use.

Not what I thought - ad is miss leading
Would Not RecommendMetal Male Quick Connector with Overmold Item #: 228719 | Model #: 09QCMGF It is NOT solid brass - it appears to be aluminum with a gold colored finished - When I first picked it up I thought it was plastic. I have not used long enough to see how they last compared to the solid brass ones. This is one of those cases were a company had a great product and made it cheap to save a few cents. I loved the old solid brass ones. The advertisement is misleading to those of us who have the solid brass v...

Don't leak; last for years; rubber grip may break.
Would RecommendI've used these quick connectors (male & female) for a number of years with only one problem. The problem is that, especially on the female connectors, the rubber ring/grip seems to dry out or harden and may then crack and fall off. The connector is still usable, but is just a bit harder to compress and connect. This has happened on several of the female connectors, but never on the male connectors. What I like about them is that they don't leak and should last much longer than the plastic typ...

These are Great
Would RecommendI have been using these since early last year. I have a female connector on my hose and these on all my attachments. All my sprinklers have these on them. all my soaker hoses in my beds. All my sprayers, even my Miricle Gro Liquidfeed sparyer has one of these on it. When i am watering and working a zone at a time, it save alot of time from having to tread the diffrent tools. I just bought four more this morning for two new spot sprinkles and soaker hoses for my new rose garden. I didnt even take...
