First, this product is confused by an overwhelming amount of branding on the part of Yale Inc. It's difficult to know which Yale app goes with which piece of Yale hardware. (Use "Yale Access" for "Yale Assure" locks). Second it is not clear if you have to use the August app or the Yale app to do the actual installation (if you purchased the model with the August Bridge, use the August app for the installation). Good product but documentation lacks
I wanted to give it a few weeks before I wrote a review on this lock. First the lock itself was very easy to install and setup. Where the difficulty came in was trying to add the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge. The instructions that come with that module tell you to download the August app from the app store. Frustrating to Install. Great lock!
Frustrating to install, and to connect the Yale Connect box especially. The directions are terrible, locating the serial number was a struggle, it is on the August module - the directions (paper ones) leave a lot of things up to intuition and or frustration - I would recommend previous experience setting up and syncing smart home products - it probably took me an hour to get the connect device box to work properly, I had to do it over and over and over again... Confusing installation but WORTH IT
I love this lock, my door was quite annoying to deal with but that would be with any lock. It was confusing as hell to connect the august connect thing because it doesn't say you have to register the lock first (or maybe it does and I'm an idiot) but other than that it was great. Now that everything's set up it's incredibly easy and it's the best out there!

Easy setup, easy to use, looks amazing on the door! Absolutely love this! As per usual- Yale delivers a quality product that you'll quickly fall in love with! I definitely recommend this one. Works as well as my Yale Assure bedroom doorlock. We replaced our front-door lock with this deadbolt one so we have a history of when our front door is locked & unlocked, when we're out of the house. Challenging installation and connectivity issues.
I had a very difficult time getting this lock set up. As a disclaimer, I live in a trailer (manufactured home), so I don’t know if there’s a difference with my measurements or if this is something other people are experiencing. I had to have a professional contractor come and install everything.
