The discounted cost is why I bought it. It is a stand alone keyless entry with a back up key if the battery power goes down. This will not work with most rechargeable batteries because it needs 1.5v. Most rechargeables run on 1.2v and may alert that the battery level is low even when fully charged. This lock will NOT connect to WI-FI out of the box. It requires the purchase of a plug in module from August to enable that feature. If you’re looking for a reliable lock with a spare keys then this...

Yale Smart Lock

The battery runs out every 3 or 4 days, the electronic board of the yale cannot be calibrated and I am still waiting for the replacement. I do not recommend this Yale smart lock

Every other smart lock is a compromise. This model has every feature these locks should have. A+++

I just installed my second Yale Assure Wi-Fi lock. This second install was even easier than the first (which wasn't bad at all). It's got every feature you should demand in a smart lock: - Real keys and keyhole in case the batteries die or there's some other technology failure - Low-power BlueTooth inside the lock communicates with the WiFi bridge you lup into a wall outlet (which communicates with your household WiFi). This arrangement is beautiful as the batteries last a really long...

Automatic operation.

This is one of the best locks I ever saw. Knows when you leave. Auto locks and unlocks by sensing your cell phone. Uses Siri or Alexa to work the lock. WiFi let’s you check the lock from anywhere. Lock is solid steel and typical of Yale high standards.

Works very well as advertised. Have had no significant issues.

Installation and manual use is great. The WiFi and home connect worked well also. Only a couple minor bugs that aren’t a big issue. Occasionally the software says it is adding a new code but never finishes, but if I shut down app and restart it the code is there fine. The lock closed and open works well if you calibrate well-not at full end of movement. Also the door open/shut sensor works great also. Using the August connect and also through HomeKit. WiFi connection was easy and have had no con...

Great lock, easy to install while connectivity isn't so easy

This is a great lock. Easy to install and fits to replace almost any existing deadbolt. It's attractive and works well. If you set it up to do so, it will auto unlock if you have your phone with you and get close to the door, great when you have your hands full. You can also assign codes to repair people or contractors remotely and receive alerts when they go in and out. The rub it getting it online. It has to be connected to a 2.4 ghz network and will not work properly if it is connected to a d...
