Needs new batteries every week

Either we have a defective unit or this product is a waste of money. The keypad does every week, no matter what batteries we use. Do not recommend.

love this Yale smart lock

love thsi lock. I replaced a schlage smart lock that would not connect to the home smart system. this works great and was easy to install and set up.

Easier to install than you might think!

I was worried when I saw the owner’s manual of this lock because it is thick! There are templates even! But I watched a few videos (thank God for YouTube) and it seemed pretty straightforward so I took a deep breath and gave it a go. The installation really only took about ten minutes! And the lock works like a charm! I’m still exploring the different features, but so far I’m liking it a lot. Great Lock!

It’s a great lock. The installation is pretty straightforward. The video they provide from the app is excellent and the lock itself is actually a really quality lock. I’m very happy with it and I’m happy. I decided to use Yale.

I’m a fan!

Was pretty simple to install with the video instructions in the app. Nice touch! Works great! As I’m sure will use up some batteries I went with rechargeable ones. Works great and glad all my research paid off. Looks great too! I went with the optional key as well, JIC. Would certainly recommend this!

Nice build quality, tech aspects need work.

It certainly is a keypad. WiFi is lackluster and doesn’t always work. The app is laggy and doesn’t always connect.

Easy lock

Easy setup and works great so far. Looks great in the back on our door.

Possible fake product.

Like the finish and ease of installing hardware. But the wifi module that came with the lock did not work. Had to spend a hour with tech trouble shooting and the serial number did not exist in there system. Like it was a clone item. They said they would ship me a new module but it will take at least 10 business days so my lock won't work properly.

Good lock - with caveats

Yes it has short battery life - as do most smart locks with Wi-fi. So monitoring battery life while you are away is pretty important. The problem is that the Yale App does not show you battery life. To get this info I had to connect the lock to Apple HomeKit. The problem with that is that I travel a lot and if you want to use HomeKit while you are away from the house you will need a bridge such as an Apple TV or and Apple HomePod. If anyone has found another answer to this I'd love to hear about...

Love this lock

After trying a Kwikset keyless lock and having one issue after another we decided to return it and purchase this Yale lock. It was so easy to install and set up. We each have a different entry code and it’s so easy to use. One touch to lock as we’re leaving and the keypad lights up so we can see what we’re doing after dark. Great buy and value for the money.

WIFI card should not be out of service

the WiFi card did not work. It was out of service from Yale. Looks like it was a used one.
