Disappointed
Bought this photo cell adapter for yard light to be able to use low watt Edison bulb for the holidays. Socket blinks on/off - even after changing bulbs to make sure it was the socket. Won't use it now in fear of blowing a fuse or starting a fire. Product too cheap to bother returning.

If you want a light that comes on and off all night? This is your product. No instruction as to what three pieces of tube are for that I have come to find out are shields. Spend the extra dollars and buy dusk to dawn bulbs.

I love this light switch
Works great for lights without dusk to dawn, I placed the long tube over the sensor and pointed it towards the East it works great! Without the tube your light might not turn on if the light hits the sensor. I highly recommend it if you have a light cover you love but it doesn’t have a sensor like my Texas star outdoor light.

It has 3 little tubes inside the box without explanation as to what they do. The lights turn on when someone is near but not all night long as stated on the packaging. I needed to have a light on all night long.

Purchased and installed. First night the light went off and on all night long. Regardless of direction or use of supplied light restricting tubes that there are no directions for as others have mentioned. Once I figured out photocell was being triggered by its own light. I made a shade out of cardboard to block the light coming from bulb. The next night problem was solved, light works flawlessly now, for my particular setup. Not sure who though it was a good idea to attach a photocell to a light...

Turns on and off Don’t buy
Purchased this afternoon to replace dusk to dawn socket that worked great for several years but started staying on during the day. After installing the Woods in/out socket with the longest shield to block light from the bulb the light would still cycle on and off every few minutes. Would not waist your time or money on this poorly designed and or manufactured item.
