What Customers Are Saying
The dusk-to-dawn photocell socket product has mixed performance. Many customers report it works well, turning the light on at dusk and off at dawn as expected. However, a significant number have experienced issues, such as the light not turning off during the day, flickering, or not working at all. The quality and reliability seem inconsistent, with some customers getting a good working unit while others receive faulty ones. Overall, the product appears to be hit-or-miss, with the majority of reviews indicating it is unreliable and does not consistently perform as advertised.

Would Not RecommendImmediately after installing one stopped working, returned and replaced. Just last night a breaker popped. Circuit includes a living room plug, entry foyer lights, and the exterior garage lights where these were installed. I finally tracked the reason for the breaker (afci) tripping to one of these. It appears to be micro-arcing. I will be removing the other as well and going to a timer system on the interior plug. Not a dangerous situation with a proper updated breaker box but a little scary jus...
Could be better
Would Not RecommendDid not work in my light fixture. Not enough light to turn it off. Also no way to aim the sensor a certain direction. Once you screw it in the light socket, it points where it points.
Photocell
Would RecommendProduct functions as I had hoped. Turns off the outside light at dawn when I fail to turn off the switch inside.
Bought 2
Would RecommendBought 2. 1 lasted 10 days and quit working. Returned it and bought an exact replacement because I like the large photocell opening. Hope this one lasts as expected.
What is wrong
Would RecommendInstalled it like the directions but it’s on all day still.
Outdoor solution
Would RecommendWe needed a light on at night and this was perfect solution. Dusk to dawn lighting
It works but I use two on my front garage and they don’t come on and go off together even though they’re just a few feet apart. It’s impossible to get the light sensors in a position to catch maximum exposure. If you don’t mind them coming on and going off at different intervals, good produc.
photo cell
Would RecommendBought this photo cell as the older one didn't seem to be working any longer. Aimed it toward sunlight but it still took a day to adjust and not come on in day light. It is working fine at the present time and comes on at dusk or in cloudy weather.
Works most of the time, but had one fail.
Would RecommendI bought a few of these and they had issues withing a couple months returned. Hopefully the new ones last longer. They work fine otherwise.
Junk
Would Not RecommendDoesn't work lights never turn off when bright and sunny out....idea good but needs tweaking
