I have two lights on my front porch that I wanted sensors on so the lights would be on when I came home from work in the evening. My main problem is that the sensor is not movable. When I originally installed these, I loosened the pieces in the sockets so the sensors were not facing each other and sensing the light from the other one. Waste of money.

Purchased 2 for front porch and neither will turn off during the day. Tried with and without shield that comes with them. Junk.

GreAt product makes sure that the porch light is on at dark and off with the daylight.

Wish it worked

I bought two of these to put on my front porch lights. The threads are either off center on this device, or are off center on both of my porch lights. When installed the light sensors face nearly towards the house rather than facing outwards. This interferes with the sensor sensing daylight and neither device will turn off the porch lights.

Got these for my front of my house and they work perfectly They’re always on dusk to dawn.

This dusk to dawn attachment to a light fixture and lightbulb works superb. I don't have to be home before dark to turn on the light. It is especially useful for when a person goes out of town. Very efficient way to increase safety around your home.

I wanted this lite to work from dawn to dusk and this item fit the bill exactly and works just the way I intended it to.

Photocell light socket could be better

Although it does turn on/off the light, you cannot adjust the photocell position was the socket is screwed into the fixture. As a result, the photocell doesn't face in the direction needed, thus its response to light/darkness is affected.

Photocell outlet

It solved a problem with a non functioning built in photocell on a lamppost. It was an easy, simple solution to a problem.

Worked for only one cycle

Installed it in outside porch light. Worked one daily cycle and stopped working.

Light photo cell

Better quality than most available. A buck or two more expensive but work much better and last longer than the cheaper brands.

Doesn't turn off

It doesn't turn off, even when I put a flashlight right up against the photocell. This is a piece of junk. Don't buy it.

As easy as it gets

Has a cover in case of too much direct sunlight, but the socket is simple to install and works effectively on a consistent basis.

Photocell socket

I bought this to replace an older photocell socket (other brand) that stopped functioning. So far, this one is functioning very well. I like it because it will turn out the pole lamp, when daylight comes and I'm out of town.

Never flip the switch again

Installed these for my 3 outside lights in the front of my house. We like to have our lights on at night so it looks like we are home even though we may not be and this product solved our problem. They turn on automatically when it gets dark and turn back off when it gets light. We will never have to flip the outside light switch again.
