Logical design

Not Whirlpools best

The end of cycle signal is nearly inaudible at its loudest setting. The control panel is almost inscrutable (difference between "normal" and "regular"? "heavy duty' and "bulky"), the owners "manual" is a joke, all about how to install the machine and next to nothing on control settings and meanings. Great Product Choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using our new front loader now for over a month and we are very happy with it. The last one we had lasted for almost 20 years so we definitely decided to go back with whirlpool. This one has an automatic self dispenser and we now realize it over the years reviews way too much soap that's one of the best features of this one. Very happy with our product choice.

Another bad machine.

Without a washing machine for 7 weeks and still have no estimated repair date after multiple visits. So I went to our local furniture store and bought a new set. I am done w/appliances at Lowes. The last set we purchased from Lowe's caught our house on fire because of a manufacturer's defect.

Leaks

My washer leaks during use. Leaves a good size puddle in basement. It's 4 years old. Techs came to look at it and decide it was the rubber gasket. they replaced it a week later. Still leaks just as bad. they never checked anything else. Apparently, a tube from the pump to the discharge tube leaks often. I'll know when they come back in 2 weeks.

Confusing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it, but am very disappointed with the owners manual. It does not explain the various computer screen messages if something is wrong. Also, my appliance repairman tells me to use a very small amount of detergent. The machine keeps telling me the amount of detergent is too low. Who to believe??? I also don’t understand why the times for washing are so much longer than they were with my old Whirlpool washing machine.

Washes great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit about 2 weeks ago and I’m very disappointed that the washer fluid level has issues it keeps showing washing liquid low. Plus the stand that I purchased with it doesn’t fit properly the drawer doesn’t close all the way

Load, Set, and Go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The “Load and Go” feature is fantastic! No more guessing how much detergent to use. No more having to pour out detergent. Just start the washer!! The washer is very quiet. I’ve been pleased with how clean the laundry is!

Whirlpool "quality" no way - this unit is a lemon

This review pains me to write as I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer supporting a US company for years. I am so disappointed in this machine (WFW8620hc Serial CA0100200). It is a piece of crap. I bought it during COVID in July of 2021 and both control boards had to be replaced in May 2022, November 2024 and now six months later in May 2025. This is the fourth Whirlpool front-loading washer I have purchased for three different houses. My original Duet Sport washer is still working 20 year...

Very ordinary Washing machine

It seems to me this new washer I just bought uses much more plastic instead of steel which makes the machine very light and unsteady, especially the door making me wonder if it would be broken anytime. The detergent dispenser is very hard to open and shaky with an open hole on the top which is a very strange design. The good feature is the light side of the wash...

Great machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a new home and love it. It works for small or large loads and is very water wise. The automatic soap dispenser is a fantastic feature. Learning how to customize the features for your needs will take a few go rounds.

Great washer
