What Customers Are Saying
The ladder stabilizer is a useful accessory that significantly improves the stability and safety of extension ladders, especially for taller projects or when working at heights. Most users found it easy to install and reported that it prevented damage to surfaces and provided peace of mind when climbing. However, a few noted it may not fit all ladder models, and the installation instructions could be clearer.

Would RecommendThis stabilizer came to the market around 2014 as a great life saver. So why 3-star? Because of two reasons. (1) The instruction fails to mention one of the accessory components that are found in the bag: Narrow Angle Clips. How they can be used is missing. (2) Rubber end cap does not last long enough to function as was deigned for as it wears out faster than users expect.

Could be better
Would RecommendI wish this was designed with an adjustment for how far standoff can be. Only 10" standoff means ladder is way under the house eaves so not easy to stand on ladder and still clean gutters. I have attached a couple of pictures you can see with 20' ladder only extending to about 16' accessing gutter requires always hanging onto the ladder with one hand. Had I been able to make standoff about 6" preferably more accessing would have been much easier and safer.
Easy to assemble. Really helps to stabilize an extension ladder. Keeps ladder away from the window or vent you are working on. Had to do internet order, since it was not stocked at store.

Used product in the box
Would Not RecommendThe white caps had obviously been installed before. The wingnuts had marks on them where someone had used pliers to tighten them. This product was returned for a refund. I really don't like paying for a new product and getting a used one.

excellent product
Would Recommendthese are fabtastic. as for the review below that says make one out of PVC and U Bolts, that can spin while you are up on the ladder, and that can be very dangerous, i advise. The hardward provided with this unit has aluminum pieces which prevent this. Werner has researched the safety of these extensively, as well as others im sure , and i choose never to enter a roof or work on a ladder without one of these standoffs. safety factor in my opinion. multiplies in your favor many times over. thank ...

Doesn’t fit all Werner ladders
Would Not RecommendBe aware that it doesn’t fit all Werner ladders. I have the orange 36’ Xtension ladder. the side rails are 3 1/4” wide so this DOES NOT fit.
Stabilizer bar
Would RecommendIt stabilizes the ladder to secure the length it extends.

Stable ladder
Would RecommendInstalled easy on my 20’ extension ladder, and was adjustable while installing rain gutter covers. Doesn’t rest on the gutter but makes contact with the roof and feels really stable. Much safer than doing the job without it. Don’t even know it’s there while moving the ladder around. Should have bought it years ago.

Functioned as expected
Would RecommendI would like them to be longer to push the ladder out further from the house to clean gutters but they still did the trick to help clean windows.

Works on Werner MT26
Would RecommendI have the MT26 multi folding ladder. It's true that the instructions say to mount on climbing side of ladder reducing the standoff. But that's only if you need it to fold and lock all the way. You can mount it on the underside getting the full standoff. And it will collapse and fold fine. Only thing is it won't fully fold so the top locks won't lock. The wing nuts get in the way I think. Still, if you don't mind the folding issue (I don't) or don't mind removing it when you don't need it...

Consider Me Stabilized
Would RecommendThis works perfectly with the Warner extension ladder that I purchased. I feel much more comfortable using the ladder for taller projects with this in place.
