Great add on to the ladder

I have a 24 ft extension ladder. When I was at top was always a little nervous. With this, I feel confident and steady.

Easier to take on and off than I thought it would

I thought this was going to be put on once and left there. However, it is real nice that wing nuts are supplied to attach it to a ladder. Makes it easy to take off when storing the ladder or when you don't want to use it. Also makes it easy to shift the stabilizer left or right when you need to set up close to a corner. I can't tell if the AC78 quick-connect one can do that. Has just enough bump-out (10") to set up under the eves and let you get to the gutters.

Werner Stabilizer for Ladders

Excellent product. The product is a high quality and price is very reasonable. I used it to stabilized my extension ladder when I paint and when I go up on the roof. The ladder is so stationary and doesn't move or shift when stabilizer is attached. It is light and can be easily attached to the ladder rungs. Very well built and high quality craftsmanship.

Missing parts

The stabilizer works great after the missing parts were supplied.

Opened the package and all parts were there. Instructions were a little vague, but not too bad. No center line indicator so you have to measure or guess at the middle so everything is centered. Works good, seems strong enough. I used it, one son used it and another son used it, all on the same ladder. It's secure and won't accidentally fall off. Good unit for the price.

I clean my gutters every few years even with gutters guards. Each time I get terrified cleaning my gutters. I saw a YouTube video and went to home Depot to buy this Werner stabilizer. 10,000 difference on the ladder. Now I can dance, text, do selfies, and have clean underwear from almost 30'. Sadly did not know this product existed. A godsend product!

warning for MT model users

I bought this product to give me some standoff from the wall so that i can reach the light fixtures in my 17’ ceiling rooms. They advertise 10” of standoff which wiuld work BUT they dont say that the setup instructions change the position of this bar from the back of the ladder to the front of the ladder which reduces your standoff to more like 4” on the MT model. If you just need stability this is helpful. If you need standoff for certain jobs this product is only helpful if you have an extensi...

Wow this actually work I should have bought this item long time ago now I can actually clean my gutter.

Nice addition to have for my ladder.

Great accessory for my ladder. Easy to install(follow the directions). Stabilizes ladder especially for higher work. Can be shifted to the right or left some for edge work or near windows. Stands the ladder off the surface about 6" or so for painting or washing under the ladder area. Mine is for home use so I install & remove it with each use for easier ladder storage.

Won't Climb Ladder Without It

I have two of these stabilizer bars, one on a 32 foot alum. extension ladder and one on a 24 foot alum. ext. ladder. The bars make all the difference in the world in safety. I won't climb either ladder without the bars in place. I've had the bars for over 10 years. They're both durable and easy to use. I'm getting ready to buy my son a new ladder and you can bet I'll be giving him the stabilizer bar also.

I can't recommend

Fits my Werner MT-17 ladder, but not well. Quality of the components is good, however I'm not impressed at all with the design. Unit strikes me as a quick, poorly thought out after thought rather than something that was thought of ahead of time. Fastening method is crude at best consisting of a couple of U clamps and some wingnuts. Great Safety Device....

To begin, I'm 74, have emphysema and use oxygen; if that's not enough, I'm just getting back into shape and in the swim of things after several years of recovering from a severe set back. All of the above is probably more information than you need but it's just by way of letting you know how much this stabilizer device means to me as I go about cleaning over 65 feet of gutters and installing gutter screens. Not to be used on Werner fiberglass ladders???

I purchased this unit for my Werner extension ladder. The narrow angle clips only work if installed opposite to what the directions call for. No where on the box does it say only for aluminum ladders or do not use on fiberglass ladders. I am still using it with the current installation and it seems to be okay. A tip from an old timer, put a little finger nail polish on the threads of the u bolt, this will keep nuts from backing off and break away easy when it's time to remove it. .

Great (inexpensive) product for multiladder

I have the MT-22 and I needed to do some paint work on the foyer window about 14' up. Installation was a breeze. Once up, the ladder was stable and I felt very secure - and I'm 6'4/250#. I should have bought this a long time ago !!

Needed years ago

Works well with 24 ft ladder. Should have purchased years ago. Felt much more stable while cleaning gutters to prepare for fall.

Did the job perfectly--instructions not good

If the illustrations on how to use it were a little more comprehensible I would have rated it a 5 star. A few actual photographs would be very helpful But the truth is that I still don't know if I assembled it right! It works fine though.
