Nice device, lousy Bluetooth

Bought this today, hooked it up, and connected to the phone with no problems. Went inside to get a beer, and checked the app about an hour later. Found the bluetooth had disconnected at some point. The distance from the device to my phone is 20 feet next to a picture window. Over all a nice device with terrible range.

Worst grilling thermometer ever

Unit worked the first few times and from then on it took forever to pair, if at all with my phone. The stuff on the grill would be done and I would still be trying to connect. Replaced the battery and still no success. Reverted back to my old reliable digital thermometer and tossed this unit in the trash. Don't waste your money on this thermometer

Worst Thermometer

It worked the first few times. After that it took forever for the bluetooth to connect, if it connected at all. My food would done and i was still trying to connect. Went back to my simple digital thermometer and the Weber went in the trash.

Stopped working

I bought it last summer and it worked fine for a couple of months but now shows a high temperature - cooking done.

Simple to use. Just be sure to place probe proper

I’ve had my IGRILL mini for over a year now. I’ve used it in my smoker, grill and oven. Although it seems to run through batteries it has performed flawlessly. I Love it!!

Poor performance

Bought today as a gift for a mate as he loves to do roasts on his Webber. Lamb on the grill with lid shut and the probe positioned where its supposed to, within 10 minutes its reading a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. Waste of money.

Doesn't last long in the cold

I bought this unit this past weekend when I was in a pinch. When it's working it's great, the app is awesome but I had it out in the cold (-20) and didn't even last an hour. Went through quite a few batteries on my cook. Defiantly not designed for Wisconsin weather if your trying to do a long cook..

It simply does work as advertised.

I truly thought that some of the negative reviews were exaggerating. I was excited to have a fully wireless probe that would work with my phone, I could sit in my house and rarely have to check my smoker. I can go no more than 20 feet away from the probe without it losing connection. Once that happens forget it. Reconnect is a frustrating nightmare. I have already purchased a replacement for $10 more, and that has significantly more range and supports more probes. I do not recommend this probe f...

Weber iGrill Thermometer

With a magnetic base to keep it in place...This is a neat little gadget- it’s less than 2-inches square so it takes up very little room and, although I’ve only used it twice- once for thick steaks and once for chicken breasts. It connects seamlessly to the Weber iGrill app and alarms when ready while showing the temperature as it cooks. Pretty slick thus far!

Must have!!

I think iGrill Mini is great! It works great, you can have multiple mini's paired up and running simultaneously. I do think it would be wicked cool if Weber added a slope to the graph display so you could see Estimated Time to Greatness!! ;) Even better, add the slope for the graph geeks, and just an ETG display for everyone else :)

Regret Purchasing

When the iGrill Mini connects and works its great but this is inconsistent at best. Look for more reliable options than this.

Poor Design & Material

Have had this device for 2 years and used it aa dozen times. Always difficult to see the dial lights in sunlight to tell if it is on or off. Range is poor especially if you go inside to relax while the device is supposed to be working. After a few uses the plastic sheath over the probe disintegrated in the heat (isn't that the way it is supposed to be used?). Last straw was intermittent temperature readings that i think are due to a shorting cable which has been used EXCLUSIVELY with a Weber...

Brisket tender

I purchased this so I could keep tabs on a brisket I cooked in our oven for Christmas dinner. I inserted it in the thickest part and monitored it with my phone at 260°F for 10 hrs. It turned out perfectly!

Works great

We bought this to be used with an oilless turkey fryer and it worked flawlessly and look forward to next opportunity to use it. Quick and easy set up, downloaded app and hooked right to the app via bluetooth. Highly recommend!

Battery Issues

The battery drains almost every time we use it. Confusing, and poorly designed! To shut it off, press and hold until the white light comes on then let go. But if you hold it just a second too long, it goes to blue tooth mode. So, unless whoever is using it is paying very close attention, you think it is off, but it actually went to bluetooth mode and will drain the battery. Changing the battery is a pain in the neck! Superb results, every time

Father's Day gift. Use it for grilling and all holiday roasts, where it really shines. The app allows you to estimate finish time. I use this for grilling, roasting and sous vida. However, the design has a problem and I must take the coin-sized battery out after every use or it goes dead. I keep the thermometer and a sheet of extra batteries in a quart Ziploc bag.

Worked until it didnt

First couple of times worked fine then just quit on me. Thought might be the battery Changed it several times and would start then die

iGrill mini is a time and fuel saver

The iGrill mini works fine up to 33 ft, which is the max range for any Bluetooth connected device. I just cooked a turkey roast and it made the job simple with no need to open the grill to check on my roast. Recommended, with the range caveat.

I Grill App

The I Grill allows me to bbq with out any worries. It allows me to measure the internal temp of meat and the app tells me when it is done. It has been perfect every time. Recommend buying the multi thermometer version as you can cook multiple steaks to different levels of doneness

Worked well twice, then not at all

Thought it would be a good way to go, but it stopped connecting after 2 uses. Reset, reinstalled app, nothing. Def not worth the money.
