Makes a mess, and after a while becomes heavy

I was painting my garage ceiling and thought it would be faster and easier with a spray gun. Paint droplets everywhere. Had to keep switching hands because it became very heavy. Would not use inside house.

Cabinets look Terrible, having to redo!

Purchased my Flexio to paint kitchen cabinets as the package and product information stated this machine could handle such task. The cabinets look terrible. Paint did not apply or dry smooth. Looks like laminate that got wet. Now I get to sand off the terrible finish and do again. Best of all, retailer won't take it back because it's been used. Perfect!

Diappointed

Had purchase the 590 back in 2014, to spray a large deck. Was satisfied at the time. Summer of 2017, started to spray the house and the turbine/blower stops. I would think that this product should have a longer life then approx. 4 hours of use. This item was only take out of it's case 3 times since new. I have to say that overall this was easy to use and clean. I always strained the paint & stain used, and the spray pattern was good. Now I am forced to purchase a new sprayer. Although ...

Didnt read enough reviews

I purchased this gun Sunday 6/11/2017 and tried it out because i needed to paint my siding and it had good reviews... should have read more of the bad ones because now the front of my house looks like stucco. Great features and love the versatility

I am a solid 5 year user of this fun and it meets and beets any job I do with it.i spray engine rooms,complete boats from 13' All the way up to 180' it truly is painting technology. I use half the amount of material witch cuts on overall pricing.keep up the great work wagner

Perfect for home use

Bought this to refinish some furniture and have around for painting rooms, fences, etc. around the house. I've only used it twice so far but worked great both times and was easy to operate and clean even for me who's never used a paint sprayer.

works as advertised

I bought this on may 6, 2017 with the intention of treating my ceder fence around my pool. the sprayer was easy to set up and use. clean-up was simple. The instruction manual is easily understood. I discovered quickly that I only had to use the lowest flow setting to get the amount of flow that I desired.

Little bulky when using

The sprayer works pretty well but I have only used it with water based stain. It is bulky when trying to move around your project. Larger projects may be easier but a 24"x36"x40" planter was difficult to maneuver around. Cleaning was easy compared to most other sprayers.

Wagner sprayers

I have had no luck with the Wagner sprayers that I've used. They leak, splatter and clog even with the best paint. Their customer service is no help; they even told me I should have bought a better sprayer, not the model that I got from them! I would steer clear of this brand and go with a paint sprayer that is actually reliable and has some customer service to back it up.

Worst Product I've Purchased... Ever.

Anyone giving this sprayer a positive review has never used a real paint sprayer. I purchased it to paint some trim and doors. I'm in the construction field. I have lots of experience painting. If you like orange-peel looking texture on your trim and doors then this sprayer is for you. To top it off it's ridiculously hard to clean up. I'll be returning this plastic pile of garbage and purchasing a real sprayer. This is my first Wagner purchase and definitely my last.

Inconsistent, Messy, Inconvenient, and Wastes Paint

I purchased the 590 with the intent of achieving a fine spray finish on custom cabinets I built for my home office. But, after perfecting many miter cuts and sanding my cabinets to perfection the 590 ruined my cabinet finish. Good sprayer but requires fair amount of on-the-job maintenance

Had to re-stain fairly large deck with overhead trellis -- LOTS of 1x1s on the overhead trellis -- and figured a sprayer was only way to go so I took the plunge and bought a Flexio 590, my first paint sprayer. Stain was a latex based "solid stain" that's pretty thick. Read the manual before starting, used iSpray nozzle with pressure and material flow settings as specified in manual and started out on the practice template provided. Love this sprayer

So far I love this sprayer. There are definitely some things to learn. I had a lot of splatter at first and paint everywhere. You will want to always keep a wet cloth to wipe the nozzle especially painting on a hot day. The nozzle clumps quickly.. Also , as I read from others, thin the paint if you want a smooth finish. I purchased this unit to speed up a large painting job. I am a new home owner and was looking for something faster than traditional painting. Not for a patio underside with 2 x 6 rafters

Not good for doing the underside of a patio with rafters. It was very hard to try to keep the sprayer at no more than 45 degree angle. If tilted more than that it would sputter out the paint and sometimes would clog. With that being said I would recommend this model for doing walls and floors such as decks. Wagner Flexio 590

Needed a paint sprayer that produce a good finish. After reading on line, I went Lowe's an discussed paint sprayers with the sales person. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and provided the pros and cons about each paint sprayer. She recommended the 590 after I told her of the job I was doing. An excellent choice, the 590 performed better than my expectations. Thanks to Lowe's. Great Product.

Great for an exterior wood fence

Bought this sprayer to stain an exterior wood fence approximately 100 ft long. The sprayer worked flawlessly, easy to operate and easy to clean afterwards. I used a semi-transparent stain on the #2 setting and it did fine. The micro sprayer setup was used. No over spray noted. I have not used regular paint or used it in an indoors application, so I have no experience where others have had issues. I am overall pleased with my experience.
