What Customers Are Saying
The Utilitech LED motion-activated security light provides bright illumination and good energy efficiency, but some users have experienced reliability issues over time. The light offers straightforward installation, but the motion sensor and adjustability have been reported as problematic by a number of customers. While the light performs well initially, the long-term durability appears to be a significant concern based on the reviews.

Garbage
Would Not RecommendI bought two, six months ago, while completely rewiring a home. One still works but the other has failed. The motion sensor glows red when it senses motion but the two LED's will not illuminate. I have spoken with the technical department at Utilitech and they have concluded the light sensor has failed. It's under warranty but now I have to pay an electrician to remove the defective one and install a replacement.
Great for your needs,
Would RecommendPurchased 5 of these lights, and I installed within 20 minutes, the only downside is the light case that holds the electrical wires does not give you much room for additional to store the wires, in addition the lights does not have alot of flexiblity to move. Besides that its good lights and nice and bright...the 100 feet motion sensor is not realistic, more like 25 to 30 feet..I believe its worth it..for sure. best for wall install instead of the eave unless its a very high eave.
Great LED light
Would RecommendIf you wire this light right, and adjust the heads right, it will give you an unbelievable amount of light. I noticed it goes deeper into the woods 100 feet from my house than I've ever seen. On my house gives a 180 degree broadcast of light. Clear, bright daylight LED's lights up better than any other light I've had. These come in white or Bronze, it's the same light. I have had 2 of these for about 2 years without a problem. Sensor light seems to be a little less effective when it gets down in...
LED motion Flood Light, awesome
Would RecommendInstalled this light to replace current flood lights. GUESS WHAT, 100% better lighting, wider field of light, brighter white.
Upgraded older Flood Light with these LED Lights
Would RecommendWOW what an improvement. Really Brightens the yard up.
Stopped working after one day
Would Not RecommendI installed the light easily since it was replacing an existing light. Worked great for the first day. No rain or cold weather during the next day but that night the light just would not work at all, would not turn on from the wall switch and did not come on with the sensor. Very frustrating since I had to climb high on a ladder to install and then dis-install!
Good illumination and responsive sensor
Would RecommendEasy to installl and it includes all parts needed to install when replacing an existing light. Easily lights up as much area, if not more, than the 300 watt hologen light it replaced and this light uses less than 30 watts. It does have a manual override so you can turn it on at will. If it goes into manual mode it will rest after approximately 7 hours. Sensor is very sensitive, but not so much to cause the light to come on randomly. My 10 lb dog can set the light off when she is out in the...
Piece of expensive junk
Would Not RecommendBought this early Mar 2016 and now the timer to automatically cut off is no longer working. Kind of hush to give just 1 star you may say, right? But honestly this is pretty expensive for flood lights and most importantly it doesn't do what it supposes to do and that leads to frustration. I am going to ask for a return no matter.
From 180-Degree Hardwired LED 2-Head Motion-Activated Flood Light with Timer
Overall, satisfied so far
Would RecommendI replaced 3 of my halogen fixtures with these. I decided on them because they went on sale for $50 and got decent reviews. I was a little disappointed when I installed the first one and one of the lights didn't work. Made me immediately question the quality of the fixture. Took it back and exchanged it for another and all three went up with no problem. The light they throw is not as "white" as I had hoped, they almost throw a blueish hue. Water leaks into bulbs even when under cover
Would Not RecommendWorked great for a month. But lenses not sealed good. A complete waste of money.
Motion sensor not very sensitive
Would Not RecommendInstallation very straight forward,no issues. Light output very bright. Mounted under eave to replace a standard flood light. Motion sensor would never detect anything less than 8 feet away so it would be very ease to come in "under the radar." At max sensitivity, it would not pick up until approx 20 feet away. Disappointed.
Worked Great -- For 1 Week
Would Not RecommendWhen it worked it was great. Nice white light. Very limited light adjustment and the sensor was too loose and would move. It died after exactly 1 week. Getting my money back. If it was up for 3 months and died, I would be SO PO'd as I would not be able to return it...
Failed after one month
Would Not RecommendThis light worked fine for a month. It is now flashing like a strobe light.
Does not work every time
Would Not RecommendEasy install and set up. Then, Frustrating intermittent operation. Works sometimes, but not most of the time. The motion sensor works, but LED lights do not always turn on. You can hear the sensor click, but no light. The LED's puts off a good coverage of light and the sensor has good range, if only it was a reliable product. Product failed within the first week I had it. Then it worked consistantly, So I kept it. Now it only clicks and no light ever comes on. Returning product tomorrow.
rain shorted it out after 4 months
Would Not RecommendI installed this in mid may. 4 months later in min Sept I started flickering real bad and making a clicking noise repeatedly. After inspection brown water was dripping out of the bottom sensor where the timer and test buttons are. Water should never get into that even if installed wrong, which it wasn't.
