What Customers Are Saying
The Utilitech LED motion-activated security light provides bright illumination and good energy efficiency, but some users have experienced reliability issues over time. The light offers straightforward installation, but the motion sensor and adjustability have been reported as problematic by a number of customers. While the light performs well initially, the long-term durability appears to be a significant concern based on the reviews.

Disappointed..
Would Not RecommendWe had utilitec 3 light unit...loved it...but lights began dying at 5 year warranty limit...not account available now.this one is pitiful...does not cover area or work well. Really disappointed...
Garbage
Would Not RecommendBought two of these lights 11 months ago. One stopped working within 30 days. Took it back and got a replacement. Replacement light died a month ago and the other followed 20 days later. I took them both back and made them give me my money back. I have never seen a bigger piece of garbage than these lights. When almost every review is bad it seems corporate would get the hint and stop selling them.
Great Light
Would RecommendBought for my lake cabin. Boy is it bright. Lights the whole area when anything in it moves.

Complete Garbage
Would Not RecommendBought the light for $69 and it stopped working after only a week. The light does come on but it does so constantly at random. Even with the sensitivity of the mention sensor set to its lowest setting the light comes on all the time for no apparent reason. There are no bushes or trees, water or excessive wild life to trigger it either. Worst purchase ever!
bad sensor
Would Not RecommendLooks like mine has same issues as what others complained about regarding sensor.
Motion sensor doesn't work properly
I bought two of these and neither would work with 70 ft. Sensitivity. It's more like 10 ft, one doesn't work at all.

Lights got water in them stopped working within a
Would Not RecommendNot happy water filled in one light. Will be returning
Terrible product
Would Not RecommendHad to return the first one as it quickly filled with water after the first rain. Luckily, it was shortly after I purchased and and Lowes was kind enough to let me trade it for another one. After a few days, the light would blink on and off all night and there wasn't anything tripping off the motion sensor. We tried adjusting it and even moved it to a different spot. Same problem. After reading some of these reviews, I would avoid this companies products at all costs.
Light won't stay on for any length of time
Would Not RecommendI had the contractor install this light on my garage. The good: It is the brightest security light I have ever seen. The bad: Unfortunately, the back yard looked like a disco, as the light never stayed on more than 5 seconds, no matter the setting. I tried flipping the switch off and on to reset it. No luck. I angled down the sensor and cleaned the lens, and tried all the timed settings, just in case there was something triggering it to turn off so quickly. Nothing worked. The contractor moved...

Not a good buy!!!!
Purchased this light 6 months ago. Worked fine and gave me the coverage I was seeking for my driveway. Unfortunately it does not work anymore and have tried reset. Sensor detects but light will not come.
Junk light failed after four months
Would Not RecommendMounted this light under the eave, but with very limited adjustability. After four months the leds only light up dimly, offering no illumination. This is my second Utilitech outdoor light and both failed too soon.
I have 8, love them
Would RecommendI replaced all of my standard switch operated incandescent floodlights, that made the power company richer. Very happy with all of these I installed. The sensitivity adjustment takes some trials to find what works for you. The wires don't need wire nuts, just stick your house wire in, it locks it in place. I mounted all of mine on soffets around the house, but I had to buy longer screws, because the provided screw wouldn't touch the utility box to thread in. Very bright lights, and long life, lo...

Same as Others
Would Not RecommendI've bought several motion detection security lights from Lowe's, and every single one does the same. As soon as you turn the light switch to on, the light will come on for about 30 seconds then turn off, despite the timer being set to 10 minutes, and it's harder to set of the sensor the first time. Once that first reset has been achieved, it works fine, but I turn on the light because I want to use it, so when I'm walking to take the trash out, it shuts off on me and I have to wale around like...
Juuuuunnnnkk
Would Not RecommendA light should last more than 22 months. I purchased this and installed it in late June of 2015. Light abruptly died 2 weeks ago. Sad because the light worked great up until then. Was bright, came on quick. I think I gave it 5 stars last year... a bit premature, aye? In my opinion, the light should have lasted ALOT longer than 22 months!! And don't think about getting any help from the company... I'll never buy another product from Utiltech. Ever.
Great Flood Light
Would RecommendI bought two of these in bronze 2 years ago and they are still going strong. I love the amount of light they give off and the motion sensor works as it should. I like how you don't have to be right up on the house for the lights to come on. These will light up when They will come on when it is dusk just as advertised which I also love. Not one time have I had any issues out of these lights. I had mine wired to the house and I am glad I did because it gives me the option to keep them off. I ...
