they break every year

this is the third time i am replacing my well pump and it will not be with a utilitech this time. the pumps each lasted about a year in a 140 foot deep well. in the first pump, the motor burned out. the second pump, the impeller shaft sheared right off while the motor and the impeller still turned freeley. nothing was bound, clogged or deadheaded. it just snapped. these pumps are not an inexpensive fix. they cost so much more time and money down the road in repairs and being out of water until t...

I bought this pump during the 4th of July long weekend. I ignored the reviews as I needed to get our well on line. Now it is January, six months later and I am paying the price. As previous reviews have said this is a piece of junk. Do not buy. I don’t understand why Lowe's still stocks this brand

Purchased pump 3 years ago

Purchased pump when my 20 plus year old pump failed Christmas eve 3 years ago. The new pump failed Thanksgiving eve 3 years later. Paid a lot less than a Gould's but you get what you pay for. Pump was easy to install and ran well till it failed. Would recomend in an emergency situation.

Not a Good Pump

This is the WORSE pump on the market! This was the 2nd Ulitech pump purchased within 18 months, and the 2nd one didn't work right after installation, which was not easy! I would not recommend this pump to anyone. Ulitech use to offer a 1 year warranty, but now they don't even offer that.

Very deceptive instruction on outside of box

Originally bought at local Lowes store only had 3 wire in stock on packing said for both 3 wire and 2 wire. Even instruction booklet had 3 wire and 2 wire. However if you hook up 2 wire does not work. Went on line local Lowes said 2 in stock ordered on line went down (we had no water in our house so needed immediately, but was skeptical because didn't see it originally) and said sorry internet was wrong. 1/2 hp submersible pump

I bought the first pump. It would work for 2 days then stop. This pump fills an aerator tank, then another pump (above ground) takes the water to house. When the sub pump stops the aerator tank emties and the house pump runs dry and melts the pvc pipes connected to the pump. This happened 3 times. Then it lasted 6 days and i thought it was ok..I was wrong. I took it back and got another. Stopped in 2 days. Returned it. Bought one from ___+_______..been working perfect for 3 weeks now. Not Really Impressed

About a week ago my husband and I had no water in our home .. he was able to determine the pump to be the problem and went out to Lowes to pick one up. It was simple for him to install and water was back on .. problem solved right... I wish. Don't waste your time with this pump!!

We chose to purchase this pump because we were in an emergency situation with no water and Lowe's was the only place that had these types of pumps readily available and in stock. What a mistake! Had I read the reviews I would not have bothered. Both of the pumps that were in stock at the local store appeared to have been opened. I did not think much of it at the time, because the pump itself appeared to have been unused. After installing the pump in our well, it provided a brief stream of water...

JUNK

Pump lasted 4 months and I'm replacing it AGAIN!!! Good thing for that one year warranty. That, unfortunately, doesn't cover all the incidentals that come along with this type of repair, like clamps, wire splice kit, etc. So it still cost me more money to replace a "warrantied" part. Do yourself a favor...buy a quality pump.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PUMP

I purchased this pump on 4/8/13. On 4/26/15 the pump quit working. I attempted to contact the manufacturer, Utilitech, multiple times. I waited over an hour each time I contacted, and still was unable to speak with anyone directly. Now my family and I will have to pull this pump out of our 400 ft well. This is a hassle, and very frustrating. I'm sure there is a reason that this product ONLY has a 1 year warranty. If it was any longer, they would be providing replacements left and right!!!!!!!

Worst Purchase Ever

This pump went out after 1 year 5 months, 5 months after the warranty. I'd expect a well pump to last considerably longer than this. I also had this pump professionally installed and the well is only 100'. I would not recommend.

Wish I could say this pump sucked....

Wish I could say this pump sucked, but it didn't. After the installation of the pump, it worked for approx 24 hours then it gave out, and it could only muster up a trickle of water to the house. The best part about this was; that it failed so quick, I had all the tools ready to go to put a new pump in from a different manufacturer.

Well Pump

Well after reading the reveiws I'm a little worry I'll be fair it's works and I hope to god I don't have to replace this again had in in now for 2 weeks seems to work well.

So Far Working Perfect

I like almost all the products lowes sells so I decided to buy it here instead of the "other store". My pump went and needed one in a hurry installed it Nov 26 2014. Fairly easy to install into a 120' well. I will let everyone know how long it last.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Ordered online to pickup at local store. There was a mix-up with the wrong pump supplied, but, the one we needed was in stock at our local Lowe's, so all went well. Installed with no problems.

Don't over react to poor reviews

The only reason I did not rate it a 5 is I have not had it long to verify the Quality. As far as the bad reviews: When your water quits your world is upside down. You fix it and you don't think of it agaian. if you are 1 out of 2000 that have a bad experience you are more likely to express your displeasures in reviews... just saying...
