The product was used for filling some inaccessible locations on an existing structure. It went into the space and filled it nicely.

Great for filling in gaps

The insulation was great for helping me fill in some gaps in my attic. It was useful for small jobs but would take several bags for anything larger. My only drawback is that it comes very tightly packed so it took a while to fluff it by hand if you don’t have a machine for installing the insulation.

How do you offer a free rental machine with purchase of 20 bags and then after purchase mention that you don't actually have any machines to rent? None of the Lowes in the Redlands CA area have it. What are you supposed to do with this product if you can't blow it in?

Great Material Poor Equipment Management

Price is very good, the material is easy to spray into the attic, and the applicator machine is easy to operate. The material is already making a positive change in my a/c usage as well as heating. The negative part is I bought the material from Lowe's to be delivered a week later. When I made my purchase A Lowe's employee told me I could come by the store after I received my delivery and take an applicator machine for 24 hours at no charge, he also told me there are 2 machines available. It was easy to transport and once put into the insulation blower machine it was easy to spray in the areas that needed insulation. What I didn't like was all the dust in creates while the machine breaks up the product but that's pretty hard to avoid so make sure it's done outside.

Even a beginner can use this product!

The process to blow in was quick and pretty easy. Only down side was the dust associated with the product. If the person loading the machine keeps it consistent, this helps immensely.

seems to be a common issue for lowes or their competitor in that they sell a product they cannot support. ended up blowing in 52 bags but its a pain to find the machine and then get it loaned out. Most staff didnt know what to do in 3 lowes I went to..3rd one atleast took the time to figure it out

Diy Dropped my Utility Bills In 100 Year old home

I was insulating a 100 year old attic. This product made the home much more quiet and also dropped our heating bills . I'll see how the cooling bills are this summer, but I'm pretty sure the AC won't have to work as hard also. It was easy to install with the free loaned blower from Lowes and it is definitely a diy project, although wear a good n95 mask..It is dusty when installing. And the Lowes staff was very helpful loading in the warehouse.

My 5 star review is strictly for the insulation, not the machine. I mention the machine at the end, but let's just say they're not worth the effort. I used this stuff to go from R49 to R60 and it worked great. It fluffs easily and the 10% extra the company's calculator suggested ended up getting returned because I was over R60 everywhere I measured. I was in shorts and a t shirt and because this stuff isn't fiberglass, you don't itch at all. It kicks up dust and sticks to your sweaty skin, but...
