Nice column design.
Would RecommendThis is a nice looking column. However, the quality is not the same for all of them. I had bought 2 columns and one was perfect. The other had some minor defects. I was still able to use it with some touch-up work. They are wrapped nicely to protect them.

Would RecommendBeing primed was a big plus. The instructions confused me. Not sure what entire base should be "covered with caulking" meant especially since there are pre drilled holes for attaching a base. Lowe's recommended buying Quick-mount 7.625-in x 5-in x 0.525-in Plastic Fastener Kit QTY 2 Item #: 15897 | Model #: 17004 but the post is 3 1/4". Not sure if that was a mistake or just my lack of understanding of what to do with them. Could of used a recommendation to buy some rust proof screw. But al...

started to split before installation
Would Not RecommendI was in the process of painting the column and had put 4 coats of Valspar exterior paint on it. This morning I noticed a split of about 12" on the bottom portion of the post. I would have been really annoyed if this happened shortly after the install. It's bad enough I have to now go try and return it and also wasted the time and paint prepping it.
