Troy Built Pony

I have finally been able to use my new Pony and have cut my lawn twice with it and can't wait to get back on it when the yard dries out from all the rain we have been having. I like the ease of starting and cutting at the pace I prefer. I can place it in a constant speed and set the cutting depth to my preference without having to raise and lower it as I move around my lawn. I do wish there was a way that I could cut the grass a little in reverse mode, but knowing that I can't doesn't bother me....

Extremely Useful

Needing to save time I purchased the Pony riding mower and it works like a charm. Has cut my cutting time by 50%, bagger attachments are easy to install, and it has started well everytime.

Worth the Price

Like: Purchased this mower from Lowes. Also purchased mulching kit at the same time. Everything works as advertised. Improved steering from older models. Like the shift on the fly feature. Mulching kit works well, does the job. Dislike: Inability to mow in reverse (fixed that). Would like instructions to accompany the mulching unit on how to remove the shoot without destroying the shoot. I Love This Mower

This has to be one of the best investments I've made in the last year. Starts on the first turn and runs like a dream. I cannot say enough great things about this mower. Worth every penny!

Pony is AWSOME

I bought a Pony today, and it started when I was turning it over at idle to prime the fuel system. Unbelievable, no choke or no throttle open. Everything worked perfectly and mows like a bush hog. Mowed my lawn and my neighbor's lawn and didn't want to quit but ran out of grass. Smooth and vibration free - absolutely AWESOME machine. I have grass and leaf bagger installed. It works very well.

Not the Best

I have only had this mower for one season and have had to have it worked on several times already. Part of that is because my yard is rocky and not flat. This mower is more difficult to use that other brands I have used.

Troy Bilt Pony

Am writing this for the sweepstakes - requested. Purchased my new Pony in December 2014. Have not a chance to use it, yet. Waiting for spring time here in the North. However the Pony seems to be a good machine, and have read several other reviews before purchasing mine.

Performance of the Pony Lawn Tractor

I am pleased with the overall performance of the lawn mower. The only thing that I can see I would have liked to have on it would be to have wheels put on the mower deck as is on the Bronco. I would think the additional cost would be minimal.

Wonderful riding mower

Since purchasing this mower in August 2013, mowing is a pleasure again! I'm a disabled veteran and it is difficult to use a walk mower to mow our 1/2 acre of lawn. This mower is so easy to operate and the turning radius is outstanding. All I need now is a bagger this summer so I don't have to suck up the grass clippings with the walking mower.

We looked at a lot of riding mowers and tried several. The pony is, without a doubt, the best bargain and the most useful mower for us. We have 2.5 acres and it makes keeping it nice a fun task. Great Value

I looked at several mowers of various brands and decided to try this one based on the size, features relative to the price. I use it to mow, added a very large leaf vacuum system and also a snow blower. So far, it has done everything expected and more. I am very happy with it and think paying a lot more for the others out there would have been a waste of money. The only thing that would be better is if it had a locking rear differential. used it a few times before winter came; looking forward to spring when I can really use it more. Seems to work fine and the thatcher I bought works well with it also.

Good value

Mower works great, easy to start and use with very few maintenance problems. This is my second Pony, the old one purchased in 2006 still runs however the deck has several holes in it from the sandy conditions here in Florida.

Not good for me

I recently bought a Troy Bilt Pony riding mower because of previous experience with your rototiller, which was excellent. I am older and find it harder to use than I'd like. I find the clutch is too far to use unless I scoot out on the seat, which puts strain on my back ( and it is already very bad ). I have mowed with it 5 or 6 times now and love it. Starts easy, very tight turning radius. Highly recommend it. Good value for the price.

Worth every penny.

I bought this for my rental property, I have about an acre to mow. I have hills trees, and other obstacles throughout the yard. I have little trouble getting around. It climbs hills well, starts the first time every time.

Best Mower I've Owned

I have had several mowers and the Pony is the best I ever had. It mows great mulching the grass into fine dust almost.Haven't had trouble going thru high grass at all. And it's very fast.I like how you control the speed with the brake pedal. When I first got on it the front wheels felt like they came off the ground , doing a wheely...lol.
