Would RecommendI have only used this mower 4 times since purchase, It seams to work good at cutting my yard, I have noticed a clunk sound when shifting from forward to reverse. all and all it seams to work fine for the short time I have owned it time will tell!!

Good mower, but...
Would RecommendI like the mower a lot. Starts easy, works well and cuts well. Really like the ability to put it in reverse and mow. I'm not crazy about the speed selection set up. Very hard to operate smoothly. About jerks you off the seat when you release the brake.

Very nice riding and cutting...
Would RecommendIf you could change anything on it...make the shift gear ( R - N - F ) up higher (elbow height) it's to low...and wheels on the mower deck to prevent scalping...Rides and starts like a champ...turns so soft and on a dime...

It's all new to me
Would RecommendThis is my first new lawnmower. I've had several hand-me-downs, my latest being a 40 year old Snapper. I haven't had any problems with it, but I still need to make a few adjustments.

My Mower
Would RecommendI have not had to cut grass in over 20 years and moving has presented me with once again a yard. I have only cut the yard a half dozen times, but find the Troy-Bilt to very easy to use. Starting a snap, easy to maneuver, tight turning radius and an overall comfortable ride. Given my short time of owning I would easily recommend this mower.

Pony Mower
Would RecommendExcellent Mower for the price and the job. Taking a little while to get used to the turning radius on hills to avoid side scalping, but getting there. Sure beats my old push mower for ease of mowing and riding beats walking.

Good Value
Would RecommendOur mower has been a good purchase for the price. We've liked the many features like the ability to back up and keep the mower running and being able to lock the engine on and be able to get off to pick debris up. The weak areas have been the front wheels that go out of alignment easily and the deck wheels don't hold up to moderately rough terrain.

TB42
Would Not RecommendI bought this mower thinking I would have years of use out of it. I purchased it at the end of mowing season last year. I used it three times. This year I changed the oil gassed it up and it never has cranked. I would not recommend a Truybilt mower if you want to mow. It is pretty sitting in the garage.

Pretty good machine
Would RecommendBought with the bagger attachment primarily for leaf pickup. I thought it came with wheels on the mower deck, store display had it, this one does not. Have to be careful not to scalp the lawn on high places. Also frame is different, my plow attachment had to be re drilled to mount snow blade. Wont mow in reverse, dont like that at all. Deck has to be almost dragging on the ground to do a good job with the leaves, otherwise it sprays the leaves all out the right side, only picks up half of them, ...

OK mower
Would RecommendSome things I like, and some things I don't. I had an older model of the 42" rider and the deck on this one is a better design. However, it is not as good at mulching my grass. If I am mowing a heavy wet grass, the deck has a hard time handling it. I get a lot of vibration. But the deck stays cleaner. And it did not come with a mulching blade or mulch plate, so I had to buy these separately

Would RecommendA very good mower for the money. Well made, dependable, American made.

Pony riding mower
Would RecommendThe settings for the blade need to be different. On 3, it doesn't cut close enough. On 2, it scalps the lawn in places and cuts too close. Other than that, I do not like having to disengage the blade to back up.

Cuts as good as it looks
Would RecommendThis tractor Ponyed-up. Delivers an easy start and a number of speeds going forward. Best used on flat terrain since the mover deck does not have wheels, some Pony equivalent models do but mine does not. When the blades dull I look forward to installing the mulching kit which includes two blades and a cover to seal the mowing deck. I like this mower so much I want to give it it's own garage.

Pony Lawn Tractor
Would RecommendThis is a very nice lawn tractor, it does everything that it says it can do. It is very easy to use and has a sharp turning radius, it is very easy to steer and the shift on the go is a very nice feature. I would highly recommend this mower to anyone with 1/2 acre are smaller. My yard is a little over a 1/2 acre.

Rides, Runs and Handles Great
Would RecommendI Purchased my Pony about 2mo. ago. July 2016 no problems what so ever. It handles a little over a1/2 acre just fine. I just wish it came with an optional reverse safety switch. I like the price and the product. Affordable, Runs, Handles, and Cuts Good. Gets the Job Done!

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!
Would RecommendOne of the best surprises I have ever received. My son and his family gave it to me to cut yard that had been taking 3 to 4 hours. Now it takes only 1 1/2 hours. Plenty of time left for refreshments and socializing. Great construction and handles great. Exceptional product for the price.
