Total Fair Is Better Than Other Brand I Used

I have restored a 26.5 Hunter using two different fairing compounds and now am restoring a 30.0 Catalina and settled on Total Fair because it is better in every way. Half way through the Hunter project a friend suggested I try Total Fair even though I had purchased enough of the other and I'm glad I did!

Total Boat will not accept returns!

I have bought three or four of the total boat fairing compound. It turns out that I did not need the last order. It was unopened in the same packaging it came in. When I called Total Boat to ask how I could return it for a refund, they said I could not because it is a toxic hazardous item that cannot be shipped. So they can ship it to me, but I can't ship it to them? I guess they are a Russian or Chinese company that believes in injustice.

I have bought this product multiple times.

This is a great product. it mixes easily, is very strong and it sands well. the only thing I would improve if it were up to me is to have it create a smoother finish. that's probably my skill level. It also adheres well to almost any surface.

Would recommend

We used this to fill in on our Lyman where we were not going to replace wood. Easy to use. Turned out really well. Would recommend this product.

Easy to use

Very easy to use and know when properly mixed as streaks of blue and yellow will not be shown when mix is complete. I did find I had to do multiple applications in an upside down application as I couldnt fill in one shot as the compound would pull out as I was adding more. (my total depth is about 1/3 inch).

Easy to use

The 2 color and equal amounts of A and B make mixing the fairing compound very simple. I was applying on a hot day and in direct sunlight so the working time was reduced which meant I had to mix multiple smaller batches and it was easy with this product. It is easy to sand and held well in the crazing cracks I had opened up with a dreamer to ensure a good bite.

Easy mixing. Spreads nice. Sets up great. Sands great. A little messy getting product out of containers. So plan ahead and keep drips and hands clean.

Worked nicely, but I should not have ordered this

All of my previous purchases were for polyester based products, the waxed and unwaxed gel coat I had also purchased was polyester resin based. I wish someone would have suggested a polyester based fairing compound instead at the time of purchase. My fault completely, as I had watched plenty of videos about not using epoxy with polyester. This product however, was nice to work with, spread easily, made a smooth surface. Only after I had applied this did I realize what I had done. I ended up sandi...

Can't say anything bad about this product. It is easy to mix and apply and after sanding either by hand or sander, the results are excellent
