Best fairing compound
Would RecommendThis is the best fairing compound on the market in my opinion. It is easy to mix - especially with the colors going from yellow and blue to green - and develops into a very smooth and easily spread mix that is very easy to apply in smooth layers that fill imperfections really well. It dries into a hard layer that is easy to sand - similar to a moderately hard wood - to final smoothness and fairness. Perfect for finishing surfaces, filling small voids and low spots, and closing gaps. It also take...

Product is GREEN and should be used closer to 70F.
Would Not RecommendThis product is pistachio green! I expected this to be a neutral color to blend in with wood, but was not happy that this product will now very effectively highlight all my problem areas. I tried using this product between 50-60F and it was difficult. The putty seemed way too viscous when applying, and wanted to pull out of the holes. It seemed that I should have pre-heated the product. 50F was too cold. This should be more clearly stated. After 24 hrs it was still gummy, and after 3 days it w...

Easy day
Would RecommendSo easy to mix, apply and sand. I’m lazy and thought this was the easiest thing ever. Sands so quick and smooth. I read somewhere 80 grit was the way to go but 150 on an orbital and it gets plenty smooth taking no time at all.

Buy only what you need.
Would RecommendThis revised formulation of this often praised fairing compound has dramatically improved sandability but questionable shelf life. Be sure to buy only what you need in the moment and do not plan on keeping remnants for long. The original formulation was tougher to sand but otherwise bullet proof with no tendency to pin holes; in my experience, that is not true for this product.

Decent product. works as expected. Expensive.
Went on smooth as expected and sanded fairly easy. It would be premature to provide a review on how long this product will last, whether it will crack in time, how it holds up to whether, etc. All I can provide in regard to a review is how well it applied, sanded, and worked as a fairing compound in which I'm pleased. I feel the price is too steep and was disappointed when opening the buckets to discover they weren't full to the top. It reminded me of opening a bag of chips only to reveal the ba...

Changed formula
At one time I spoke highly of this product with impressive results. Formula was changed several years ago ( blue part made significantly thicker ).which made difficult to mix, smooth & produce satisfying results.

Easy to work with

Had real problems with application
I've used a lot of fairing compounds over the years and this is hands down the worst. Am filling up vertical cracks on sanded facisa board. I can only make one smooth application and if I go over it again the compound beads up, rolls and acts as if there is dirt and foreign matter in it. If I'm doing something wrong I would love to know what it is. Temp is in mid 70's.
