What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these composite shims for outperforming wood alternatives—they don't split, warp, or degrade, making them ideal for doors, windows, cabinets, and subfloors. Reviewers highlight their stackability, precise 1/16" adjustments, smooth insertion, and durability in damp environments. Many appreciate the ease of use and keep multiple packs on hand. Some report inconsistent breaking or snapping, and a few note the flat shape requires stacking rather than gradual adjustment. Overall, most consider them the most reliable shim option available.

Easy to use
I love this product it’s amazing when installing windows
Better for top of door frames than sides
Would RecommendThese are great for stacking on top of each other though they don't lock together so you have to hold in place so they don't all fall out.
It's always in my truck
Would RecommendI've been experimenting with these shims. I like the thinner profile over cedar shims. These shine for window sills. Not as much for doors. Usually the gap is larger on doors and you use a bunch of these thinner shims. The design let's you easily customize it's dimensions
Easiest to use shims for a door install
Would RecommendThese shims are very easy to use. I have used reversing wedge shaped shims which are problematic. These shims slip in to the thickness needed very easily. I put them "around" the screws which get the force well distributed.
Very simple product
