Very disappointing

I've had the wooden Tomcat traps for about a year and they are always set. After several months I noticed that the staples that hold the spring assembly to the base began to work there way out of the wood. The base seems like balsa wood, not even pine so doesn't hold well. I have had to epoxy the staples in in order to continue using the trap. Not inexpensive but cheap!

Mouse aren't fooled by plastic cheese

Mice can't see the plastic cheese in the dark. Mice are attracted by smell. The plastic hook is not sharp enough to attach bait. The mice can steal the bait without getting caught. The old fashioned mouse traps with the metal bait hook work much better.

Would buy again.

I purchased a four pack of these with the Tomcat attractant gel. I set them where I had signs of mice. I only thought I had one but in less than 24 hours I had caught two.

Feeding only

I set the four trips out filled him with peanut butter next day the traps did not go off and all the peanut butter was gone

No weak spring here

The Tomcat mouse traps I bought at my local Lowe’s store were highly effective. Trapped four of the little rodents in my garage during a two week period. Used a dab of peanut butter on each one. They, in my opinion, died instantly. The springs were so strong it nearly severed the head on impact! Great product and very effective.

Can't set the traps

Bought four of these and only one will set. Not a good product.

Weak Spring

First, my neighbor abandoned their house, the lawn is 4 foot tall weeds and who knows what was left inside. So needless to say, I have a serious mouse problem. FANTASTIC PRODUCT

So I was fed up with this mouse creeping in my apartment every night so I decided to take action. Being a college student, I needed something cheap and effective. Great if you want to fees the mice

I purchased 3 packs (12 traps) and set them all throughout the garage. The next morning, the traps were licked clean of the peanut butter and not a single trap had been triggered. We used a small amount of bait and set the traps perpendicular to the walls as recommended. So either we have ninja mice who hovered above the traps mission impossible style or these traps don't work. One out of four doesn't cut it

I set this trap four times with peanut butter. Result: one kill and three times the mice stole the peanut butter without setting off the trap. The mechanism simply is not sensitive enough.

Horror Show

It shouldn't be this complicated. I don't know if something has changed at the factory with the manufacturing process, but these springs are NOT strong enough. Two of the last three mice caught with these traps have not died, and instead have crawled all around, clamped right behind the head, struggling to survive. Easy to Use

Purchased these for our garage. Easy to bait, simple to use, and cheap enough to throw away when you catch one.

Mouse diner

I may as well run a mouse diner with these traps. They clean their plates and not set off this trap. Tried the sensitivity setting to the right, to the left and even pushed the trap trigger down to where I am almost tripping it myself. No luck with these at all. They lick it clean. On a positive note, they aren't expensive. I think I'll try the glue traps next.

Get the Mouse !!

Good old fashioned trap.. use a very small amount of peanut butter, raw bacon works too ... place the trap along the edge of a wall , they run along edges .. careful the trigger is sensative

Couldn't find victor medal pedal ones at the store

Tried these instead, caught one FAT mouse but other than that the bait is getting taken without getting set off. I don't know why they think they can improve on the one with a metal bait holder because they haven't do it yet. The victor ones go off on even scrawny little mice and I'm going to have to go to the competitor's bright safety colored store and get a few 4 packs for two twenty seven...

Useless because poor manufacuring

Just another frustrating poorly manufactured product. The tolerances are off so bad that only about half the traps in a package can actually be set once baited. The other half simply aren't positioned correctly to allow for enough tension to keep the trap loaded and it'll snap back on you before you can ever get it placed. Normally that'd be frustrating but when dealing with a mouse trap it is a good way to break a finger. I'm just so frustrated with these cheaply made products that are so poorl...

Old school traps work the best

Worst mousetrap that I have ever purchased

I"ve used countless mouse traps over the years because of the field mice that want to winter over in our house. The Tom Cat mouse trap is hands down the worst Ive ever purchased. You can't set it without it springing closed before it can be put in place. I also almost broke my finger a few times thanks to the premature release.
