Holes in splice not tapped.

I purchased as a straight edge to cut drywall. Tried to assemble the two halves together only to find out the holes in the splice were not tapped. Had to find a friend that had a tap set to tap the holes for me to accept the fasteners.

Too thin to be stable

As a 50 inch straight edge is prefect, but its too thin to stay straight at 100 inches.

Much easier

After cutting many pieces of plywood with the Dewalt circular saw and then cutting with this, all I can say is I wish I had bought this much sooner! I haven't cut using both pieces put together but only with the one half and only thing I will recommend is making sure your saw edge is fully against the guide during the first few inches. I had mine start binding one time and looked to see the edges were not touching. Once it starts going, I could cut plywood much quicker, not stare at the scribe...

Handy tool

This worked well to help keep our cuts straight on our large pieces of plywood.

Great Accessory!

Needed this for years. Saw guide adjustable for even 8' sheets. Clamps easily although I use different clamps than the C-clamps provided. Gave me perfectly straight cuts.

Cutting guide

What a great tool to ensure you get a straight cut. I’ve always struggled following my cut line. Now I have no worries about cutting a straight line.

Works

Works like it should and it is easy with the provided clamps to clamp the work surface. It is great because you have two sizes to choose from. It will help rip a full size of sheet stock with ease.

This is just what I wanted and is what I expected it to be. I wish I had gotten this straight edge sooner.

Decent quality for the price

The lengths are good for working with plywood and the like. It takes getting used to though regarding saw placement and positioning. But once setup, the cut is clean and straight.

This tool si not sturdy

I purchased this tool to cut a door (75ft 3/4 ") the tool is not sturdy to cut long cuts. As you get to join the tool bows, it is very flimsy, after the cut I took I realized that the door was not squared. now I have to buy another door for $150. you are better using something else or you end up getting new material, don't waste your time. Swanson *.33 FT Metal Ruler

It's great for cutting 8FT or shorter material. I would like to something to hold the center of the ruler in place for cutting straight.
