Would Not RecommendIf you just want something in a pinch it will do.If you want something you are not going to have to buy again in short order then pass on this one.As a straight edge its only a thin piece of aluminum so will get bent the first time murfey comes by.As a Ruler it is only painted so the first scuff it takes will be it's last.Hands down the worst of both worlds and the cheapest thing I have seen by Swanson.

Would RecommendI have been looking for a metal yardstick for quite a while for both my sewing and home projects, and was so happy to find one that I purchased 2 of them....one for me and one for my husband. We only need the 36" one for now, but will be purchasing a few longer ones for projects around the house. The yellow color helps us find it easier among the myriad of tools we have.

Good product, but not for what I need
Would RecommendThis is a good ruler to have if you're working on a flat surface. I needed it to position a cart a distance from a wall. The straight edge bends too much to get an accurate measurement. We were using a wooden straight edge that was ¼” thick. It did a much better job. I couldn’t find any of the “old” wooden straight edges any longer.

Good and Durable yardstick
Would RecommendSomehow my wife lost her metal yardstick that she has used for years. She wanted the same model as the one she lost but it apparently is no longer made. So I bought 2 yardsticks from Lowes that she hopefully will not misplace. The yardstick is of high quality and should last for years. The scale is printed in black on yellow and stands our well for easy ready. The only improvement that I believe should be made is to print the scale on both sides. This would make it a little easier to use.
