Would Not RecommendThe tape itself isn't bad, but the auto lock does not work at all. After 3-4 uses the auto lock quit working and it has no manual lock. Would not recommend.
Not what was expected out of a $22 tape measure
Would Not RecommendWhen it came time to replace my old tape I decided on this one because of the new lock design. Well it worked until I went thru the checkout line. It slowly retracts making the lock feature useless.

Auto-lock FAIL
Would Not RecommendI'm just a homeowner and not an carpenter so this tape didn't get usd much. Yet the retract button failed to work. I took it apart and removed the retract button. I paid 30 bucks for this believing buy once cry once. I was wrong. This tape is terrible.
Only owned it a week and already broke
Would Not RecommendI have owned several Fatmax in the past was very pleased with them picked this one up at my local Lowes last week was only used it a few times and the retract button broke had to manually push tape back in.

Would RecommendThe auto lock option is awesome. 11 feet reach before the tape snaps is even better. Ability to flip auto lock off is nice too. Great tape measurer.

Would Not RecommendIf I hired a framer and he/she showed up on my jobsite with Stanley tools he/she would be immediately terminated. Poor tools means poor workmanship. plain and simple.

Would Not RecommendThis tape has an auto lock which I thought would be great. The lock is weak and the tape just retracts on its own at all lengths. Buy something else! Especially for 25$!
