Solid simple tape. Replaced an older fat max tape due to normal wear and tear. Would buy again

Lock breaks

I would give it 5 stars but the lock on the tape breaks so easily. It does survive falls though.

Well Made

I have had this tape for a few months now and have been pleased with the upgrades on this FatMax Tape. I only use Stanley FatMax tape measures and I like the feel of this tape

New 25 ft tape measure

It is considerably wider than my old Stanley and much easier to read; especially all of the fractional markings. At my age I need all the help seeing that I can get. Sturdy, comfortable and easy to use

Pure junk...lock breaks after second use

I purchased this Stanley tape measure last week to replace my trusty old Craftsman that I'd used since 1995. The Stanley has seen nearly no use and has not been abused, sitting on my kitchen countertop almost since purchase. Today I attempted to measure the dimensions in my home office, and the lock completely broke apart. Best Tape Made

I have used all the different models and lengths of the FatMax line of tapes. This new design feels better to hold and use. It is shaped and molded more like a baseball. My 16ft and 35ft older FatMax tapes work great but are a little more squared off and not as comfortable to use for prolong work. I bought the 25ft new style FatMax since they did not offer a 16ft version in the new body style. It’s not much heavier than the old 16ft. Fragile

I got 2 of these tape measures knowing how much I love the old style Fat Max but was disappointed the first week I had it. The lock button broke and would just dangle and I didn't realize how much I used it but anyway 3 weeks after that happened it just quit rolling back up! So disappointing! I love the old Fat Max tapes but these new ones suck.

Awesome FatMax Tape!
