DualLock is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've seen other tape measures with an auto lock function so I was very pleased to see a Stanley tape with that feature. This tape is very readable. The fraction scale is especially useful. The standout length is about 9' - good for a 1 inch wide tape. 3 rivets fasten the end so I wouldn't expect much movement with normal usage. I did not try a drop test but the tape looks sturdy.

Quality Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the "Dual Lock" a couple of weeks and I really like it. First of all, it feels substantial. It will stand out horizontal almost 7'. The thing I like is that the retract/ lock allows you to throttle it back and keep it from slapping in. Also it has the fraction of an inch on the rule so you don't have to think about it. An improvement over the otherwise fine Stanley legacy tapes. the

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dual-lock feature is a must have if using a tape measure with no one around to help hold the tape.I really like the the fraction indications on the tape it sure beats counting the lines on the tape if you have to use reading glasses.It is very sturdy and holds up on the job very well, it was dropped several times from a height of 10 feet, and you would have never known it.

Not you typical tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a little difficulty removing this tape from the packaging. Once opened I discovered that this wasn't the tape I was expecting. I pulled out the tape and it stayed out. I liked this function. On looking at the pulled out tape, I saw that there were fractional numbers for each inch down to 1/8 of an inch. Once I pressed the easily identified unlock button, the tape returned into the case.

Nifty dual lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many tape measures in my day. This one will likely become my go to. I have been s fan of auto-locking tape measures for a while, which this one is. This tape measure also has a second lock that not only stops the tape from retracting, but makes it difficult to extract as well. This has a nice stiff tape and the mechanism makes it really easy to measure long spans without a lot of sag.... even without an extra set of hands.

Great Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dual lock makes using the measuring tape much better. You don't need to worry about the tape retracting while measuring. The lock also makes it easy to keep the tape stable when pulling on it to measure with the tape tensioned. I like this new lock feature much better than the blade lock features on other tapes. This tape is my new favorite.

High Quality

One Tough Tape Measure

The multi-function lock works well and is easy to use. When you pull the tape out and let go, it stay out, then with the lever on top you lock the blade or retract the blade. Rugged Tape Measure

Best Tape Measure ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DualLock Tape Measure makes taking one-handed measurements so much more convenient. One has complete control of the tape all in the thumb of one hand. With the tape staying extended without having to be locked it in place, makes taking multiply measurements much easier by simply pushing or pulling on the tape. Then use the toggle control to either lock the tape in place or retract it. Great innovation.

Best in Class Tape Measure

25' DualLock Tape Measure
