Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owned a lot of tape measures in the past and have yet to find any that were better than my old Stanley tape measure. Some I had were part of a tool set and others were picked up along the way. They worked in a pinch but nothing held up for too long. Saw this one and I was in love. Bought it and haven't look back. Can definitely take a beating and still holds up well.

Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this measuring tape after my Milwaukee measuring tape broke after dropping it . I have dropped this measuring tape about 30 times know and has not broke. Maybe a scuff but can’t easily be wiped if. I like how real good the quality feels and how it’s not heavy. Thank you Stanley tools for the great quality tools .

Can’t go wrong. A classic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing up, all I saw my dad carry were FatMaxes and PowerLocks. In the Texas sun, PowerLocks can get a little toasty on my belt, which is why I always go for the FatMax. I’ve never really needed the 35’, and the 25’ just feels right. Coated in rubber so it won’t slide off the job box and a magnetic tip strong enough to hold its own weight when you string it up to a duct 18’ above you. You just can’t go wrong.

The best around
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stanley is synonymous with many things, but these days great tapes are the first that come to mind. The FATMAX may be a little thicker than average but makes up for it im features including the rubber overmold that stays put on a surface, clearly legible and helpful markings, and the best unsupported extension length I’ve found. Beyond that, it’s durable like a tank. Can’t go wrong here.

Lives Up to Its Name
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several 25’ FatMax tape measures. First tried it about 7 years ago and loved it. Now I have the 25’, 30’, 35’, and 40’ tapes. The 25’ is perfect. Fits nicely in my tool pouch and seems to last forever. Stanley = Always Dependable.

FatMax's brother MaxSteel
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The date in the tape of my MaxSteel 25' measure says 1988, so I've had this quite a long time. The bright yellow case is very durable, and has survived many drops from my toolbelt. This is one tough tape measure. Model number on this one is 33-599 and if the FatMax is even half the MaxSteel, you will end up keeping this measure quite a long time. It is easy to find in my toolbox and has been a key reason that my projects come out as expected.

The only tape I'll buy
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the classic Fatmax consistently for the last 10 years straight. Honestly, I've only needed a couple replacements in that full decade of heavy use. I recently bought a 2 pack, so I have some back ups. Whether I'm rough framing or doing fine finish work, this is my go-to tape measure ALWAYS!

The Yellow Gold Standard
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone knows what STANLEY’s tape measures look like because ALL the Pro’s use them. I myself have used the Stanley Fat Max for the past 30 years. At least - that’s what I think - I started buying Fat Max when they first became available. Until then I was using other Stanley tapes but they would break after a month - at the most. When the Fat Max came out it was CLEARLY a superior product having “blade guard” on the hook end. That’s where tape...

Tape locks well; & can extend for at least 10 feet
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had it for at least 10 years; & because if the great warrantees offered by Stanley Black & Decker, I know that it will be replaced if it “ever fails”?!
