Very intuitive

I like the light flash feature which makes it great for places such as attic spaces or other dark places with low lighting levels. I also like that batteries are included. This device is very simple to use and it is really easy to identify hot wires or outlets. Switching to the 12VDC feature is also very simple. Overall great tool, very easy to use and very intuitive.

Non Contact tester

The batteries are easy to change out without compromising the water proof feature. The Led finder light is very bright and easy to use. Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this non contact for a couple of week. So far it is great. Love that it has a flashlight on both sides and is really bright. This product is water and dust resistant that is another great part of this product. The only issue I have is the flashlight button is touchy you will find it on in your tool pouch.

Great Votlage Tester

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tester is very accurate. It has a dual voltage feature for 12v. It can sense voltage on open wiring from a distance. The large flash light on the back is a great added feature.

Works very well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this NCV as a product review item and I have used it in the field for the past few days and i must admit that it is very good in testing for live voltage it has all of the bells and whistles that one might expect i would really like to see the next model encorporate a vibration feature as an improvement

Best of the breed, so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has the best features that I have found on an instrument of its' type. The voltage sensing range is exceptional and the controls are very positive and easy to operate. The flashlight is bright enough to be seriously useful without needing a separate light. The water resistance makes it a very useful tool, even in the damp conditions that I work in a lot of the time. This will be in my shirt pocket most of the time, from now on.

I could immediately feel the difference by just holding it before I got to use it. The LED lights are VERY bright. Excellent product

I like the light on the detector end and really like the Hi-Power worklight on the other end. A handy tool to keep around.

Best combination of features

My new go-to!!

This is the tool that I have needed for years! The exceptional low-voltage range allows me to find the wire I need in a spaghetti of long-buried, color-unidentifiable wire without making needless cuts in the insulation. Very nice unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several different NCV testers and this one has some very nice features. The colored indicator lights give you confidence that the unit is on and in the correct mode. I was skeptical of the necessity of the flashlight, but have found it to come an very handy and quite acceptable in terms of brightness. My only complaint is that the audible indicator could be louder - which kept me from giving 5 stars.

Good Tester

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tester performed well and the 12 volt setting was a nice feature for troubleshooting control circuits. The addition of a flashlight was a nice feature, but I noticed that the light would come on when I had it in the pocket of my jeans. I didn't have the problem when I carried it in my shirt pocket.

great tool

A little more complex and bulkier than the 40136N, so not my first choice if I'm within the 50-600V range. Nice to have the flashlight feature, though I prefer to use a better separate flashlight if I need a flashlight. Also reluctant to use the flashlight for fear of having to replace the batteries too often.

ac voltage detector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] nice solid product , was working in a confined space with limited access to the panel we were working on. the green led gives a nice guide light to the circuits we were tracing, once we were able to identify the conductors in question. we able to switch back to conventional methods for correctly identifying the correct voltage. this product did a nice a job on locating the energized circuits the were in question not a lot of ghost readings that...

Great Tool
