Would RecommendIf you are looking for an accurate test for soil pH, and you follow the instructions carefully, you will get an accurate reading regarding the pH. I have sandy soil, and fairly caustic irrigation water of pH ~8.0, and it appears that the pH portion works well. I compared the phosphorus numbers and potassium numbers, and they also seemed like a rough good estimate of my known numbers. I want to emphasize "rough" estimate when compared to known standards. Would Not Recommend1. Some of the instructions were not clear. 2. All the capsules were stuck closed require messy use of scissors to open each cap. 3. While I got results on the PH Test, I got no results on the other 3 tests. After adding capsule to solution, there was no color change at all. Could this kit be old, our of date?

Would RecommendI started doing the nitrogen the same way I did the PH and then realized I did it wrong. I have a lot of clay being Iowa, so I had to let the water/soil mixture sit for nearly a day. Once it was ready, it worked really well. Be sure you let it sit long enough for the soil to settle and just use the water in the three other tests :)

Would RecommendHaving some trouble with my grass so I decided to test my soil. The product works as advertised and it proved to me that my soil is within limits. I would recommend this product to test your soil prior to a lawn company telling you that there is something wrong with your soil.

Easy To Use, Easy To Understand
Would RecommendI don't have a green thumb by any means, but I needed to learn about the health of my soil. I think this was the best fit for me. The directions made it easy to use and understand. It comes with plenty of test. At the end of the day, I learned what my soil was missing. I added the nutrients and so far, the grass and plants are growing a lot better.
