Will not buy again

I used this product 3 times and the black cap wore off and the auto dispense no longer worked. I just bought the echo one made for my trimmer

Cap wore through in less than a seaso of use.

Bought this in August 2021 and it's trash by May 2022 on my first trim of the season. The cap wore through already & I'm careful not to ride the head on the ground when I trim. It fit well & had a high string capacity but should have lasted at least a full season for a $30+ (+ tax) price tag. So much for the industry leading commercial warranty.

Line constantly binds up.

I use a echo 58v trimmer that packs a lot of punch. I've tried different shaped lines like husqvarna round to echo and stihl various shaped lines. Regardless I'd say for every 30 minutes of trimming the line will bind up in the trimmer head 4 times or so. Have to remove the trimmer bottom and reload string pretty much defeating the fast load feature. I have stihl Trimmers too with stihl fast load heads and the echo one this replaced very rarely bonded up and stop feeding.

Have a little patience when loading, reloading.

Worried about this product at first but after 10 total hours, it works great. Used with the .95 line at first but then went to 1.05 and it works well with both. As advertised so far.

looks like some folks grind the head on the sidwalk when they tap to feed, i dont and this has been the best universal bump head i've ever had. replaced the original stihl head with it.

Great bump head!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Shakespeare Max Load Head holds up to 26 feet of line and no need to spool it either. Just insert the line and crank and off you go! The head holds 20% more like than my original bump head I had so I'm able to get my entire yard weeded without having to stop and reload which is great on time saving.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I am impressed with the Max Load Trimmer Head. The loading process is simply fantastic. Just line up the arrows and let it do the rest. It’s really helpful when you need to switch out cord for different jobs. I also love that it takes the larger diameter cord. I am extremely happy with how well this was made, and the thought that went into the design and features. Definitely a top notch product in my opinion.

Finally my wish came true

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this trimmer head a couple weeks ago, installation was easy (much practice using other brands) only used it twice so far, but man what a difference ! It makes weed eating more well... enjoyable I guess I could say, loading the line couldn't be easier, I'm using the .085 line and was able to put 25 feet of line in it with no problem, (I believe it states you can put 30 something feet in there) with just a little bump, the line feeds out...

Great Concept!

Solid Bump Head!

It’s easy to install and your trim wire….I started with 20 ft of 0.095 inches. Using it with your trimmer is a breeze…just bump down and your additional wire comes out. Although trimming is still a chore, it’s much easier foe me now with the Shakespear Max Load Head.

Some are so difficult to use and install that they're not worth it. However, this Shakespeare Max Load Pro made everything easy. Installing the line was a snap since I didn't have to open the head. All in all, I'm really happy with this trimmer head.

Winding feature is nice but bump feed does not wor

I had purchased a number of trimmer heads and had good expectations for this one. Yet this is just another head that doesn’t feed line with a simple bump. The winding feature while not as smooth as you may hope is still a nice feature but I could never get a single bump to feed line. I thought perhaps i was pulling the slack too tightly while winding but nothing seemed to improve things. Installing it is a challenge to figure out which adapter will work on my Troybilt but I figured it out. ...
