I bought this trimmer head a couple weeks ago, installation was easy (much practice using other brands) only used it twice so far, but man what a difference ! WORST TRIMMER HEAD!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Bought this to replace the factory head on an Echo SRM-230. I found the correct LH thread adapter (Yes, most trimmers are left-hand thread). Install was easy-peasy. I was lured by the claim of loading 26 feet .095 line and the straight-through feed. Result: the line would NOT advance. Well, quite sporadically. Cap wears out

I purchased it to replace a craftsman electric Weedeater head. It was easy to install and worked super for the first month but after the second month the plastic cap was worn through and allowed dirt to enter the spool assy. It would be easy to replace but when calling the factory to order a replacement they were closed. I left a voicemail but haven't been contacted. Thought I had a winner

Well it's a great weed eater head so I thought, it's very well-balanced but the outer shell doesn't last very long at all the plastic deteriorates which makes the weed eater start to be unbalanced.

Great tool

After installing this head was super easy to load. No more removing and winding line. Love it!!

Changed my life

For years I struggled winding trimmer line never knowing a contraption like this existed. This changes my whole outlook on yard work. Simple to install and more than easy to use. No more winding by hand only to have the entire spool unwind just as the cover goes on. Again. This completely changed my life.

Un-threads and falls off

Using left-handed threads the bump head un-threads and falls off when I pull the starter cord and the trimmer doesn't start. I haven't found a way to tighten the bump head enough to keep it from falling off. Using a Homelite straight shaft trimmer.

Won't work on troy-bilt

There is not an adapter included that will work on a troy-bilt trimmer. All the adapters are a left handed thread. Troy-bilt uses right handed threads. Plus you have to destroy the packaging to get it open so there's not much chance of returning it. It says on the packaging it will fit troy-bilt but it doesn't. It also says it fits 99% of all trimmers. Apparently I'm the 1%.

Disappointed

Packaging states that this item will work with Most Troy Built trimmers, however all adapters supplied are the wrong thread. For the Troy Built 4 cycle trimmer.

Poor Product

No adapter fits the most common Troy-Bilt powerhead on the earth. Fairly certain one of the adapter was supposed to fit, but the machining process was allowed to occur outside of tolerance, which would indicate poor manufacturing quality assurance. Wasted an hour and a half of my time. Also, previously had the Monster Hybrid which stripped out of after a season of light use.

Easy to install

Had several adapters to match my weed eater. Installed easily and was easy to load. worked great while weed eating

Trimmer head

Better than my last trimmer head. Works as advertised. The auto feed intermittently works

Bump head

Installed this item on my trimmer per directions. I love the fact that it is a lot easy to get line out just by bumping the trimmer on the ground. Makes work around the yard easier.

Worthless

Install went great. As soon as I turn on the weed eater, the line unthreads on its own without me bumping it.

Good head

So far , so good. Easy install, works well, reloads easy. Great replacement head
