Zero Problems, Works Great!

After using the laundry soap and fabric softener, I found this dishwasher soap. It’s just as awesome as all the other products. I think the people complaining of spots or residue perhaps have less than great water or dishwashers. I have yet to have spots and I’m 3/4 through the box. I have a mast cell disorder so I’m thankful for these free and clear products that work and don’t leave a smell behind. Thank you Seventh Generation!

Great product

Using it for already 5 years, it's the only one that my immune system accepts. I can;t have smells due to a.o. smell allergy that does swell my inner ear and nose and give racious headaches and vertigo. This product helps me a lot, Thank you 7th generation!!!

Best dishwashing machine powder I've found!

I love this stuff. Works fantastically in my compact dishwasher, never a residue left behind, gets everything really clean. Great product. Please keep making it!

It WORKS!

I bought this product over the weekend and also happened to be doing a lot of cooking during the same time. I ran my dishwasher 4 times in one day and Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Powder cleaned everything without any issues. Will definitely buy again.

Leaves terrible white residue on everything!!

We made the switch from the toxic detergents we had been using. The detergent pouches leave a terrible white residue on everything and it is destroying our dishes and silverware.

Cleans but leaves a powdery residue

My first and only experience with a Seventh Generation product. I was sold on the clean and low toxicity of the ingredients since my wife and I decided to put the baby bottles in the dishwasher rather than keep hand washing them but we stopped after the second wash. The product leaves a white powdery residue on the clear glass bottles and this is unacceptable. We used powder detergents before but none left such residue.

First time trying!

I've been using the dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent. I gave it a whirl after realizing I had no pods left, so the dishes were in the washer for 1.5 days. I bought the powder. Dishes are done and are squeaky clean--amazing!! I have baby bottles, wooden spoons, regular dishes and glasses and it blasted thru everything. Highly-Recommend!

Terrible detergent

I bought this and my dishes are covered in a nasty film and they taste salty. Cannot get them clean. It is terrible. Aparently this is not uncommon although people have respnded to these reviews saying this film is not normal. Well reading the other reviews it is. DO NOT BUY

I recently purchased this powder and have had to re-run my dishwasher three times, dishes still not cleaned. I have used the pods prior and never had a problem, but I would not purchase this product EVER AGAIN. Is not the dishwasher either.

Wish it worked better...

I have been using 7th generation dishwasher soap for several years. It works well if I prewash all dishes, which is annoying and inefficient. Since using this detergent I have noticed our dishwasher racks are rusting, which drips rust water onto my dishes. I have had to replace them. After speaking with neighbors that use this they are having the same issue. I am wondering why a natural product may be causing this.

Great product

Bought this as unwilling to pay the price for other big name brands that I have had mixed results with. Was pleasantly surprised by how well this product worked. I found it worked better and more consistently than any product I have used before, even though I have hard water.

We wanted to like this product...

...but it just doesn't work. Compared to the cache of old school Cascade with phosphates, this environmentally friendly project just doesn't even clean tea and coffee stains off cups. We've tried using the "soak and scrub" cycle, "high temp" cycle, etc. The only think that seems to work is washing the dishes by hand before washing them in the dishwasher, and that is both tedious and wasteful.

I LOVE this soap

I have been using SG dishwasher powder for years. I had tried all the natural cleaners available and then found this. I am unsure why some people are having spotty results. I have never seen any. Also, I find that it cleans out coffee stains etc much much better than the other brands I tried. Love Seventh Generation. I now use this, the liquid dish soap and the liquid Laundry Soap.

Just bought the powder and so far so good. I am going to buy the rinse today..

Does a great job

I tried other earth friendly dishwasher detergents with poor results. Seventh Generation's product cleans my dishes perfectly when I used a rinse aid. I have a few spots if I forget to refill the rinse aid, but there is no food left on my dishes, and I do not pre-wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.

Spotty

I tried this product and the first time my dishes came out spotty and grungy looking that I thought I forgot to start the dishwasher so I tried again and the same thing happened. All my dishes and glasses were covered in spots and film had to wash again with regular soap to get them clean. We do have well water but we have a whole house filtration system and we use a rinse agent.

Have actually used Seventh Generation in the dishwasher now for about a year. Love that when I interrupt the machine to add something to it I don't get blasted with chlorine smell. The original reason why I changed. It can't be good for a person to breathe that in. Since I make sure the dishwasher is full before turning it on I have never had a problem with food stuck on even though they have sat there for a few days.

I have been completely pleased with this detergent. Our dishes come out clean and not cloudy.

Cleans perfectly! No spots or resedue at all! I love all seventh generation products! The laundry soap is wonderful also! I have been using them now for several years.

I just tried this dishwasher detergent for the first time. I've been using a different national brand for years and, from that, grew accustom to the overwhelming chemical cleanser-like type scent when opening the dishwasher door. After using seventh generation detergent, there was no chemical scent. The dishes just smelled clean - actually good! And they were so clean. I'm sticking with this detergent. I only wish I could find it in a bigger box so I could buy more at one time.
