Ratings & Reviews for Screen Tight 12-in Plastic Screen rolling tool ( Blade Included )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This screen rolling tool received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to use and effective, but most reported issues. The roller wheel was too wide, making it difficult to properly insert the spline into the screen frame groove, often resulting in an incomplete or uneven installation. The included blade/knife was poorly designed and tended to tear or cut the screen incorrectly. The overall build quality was low, with many reports of parts falling off or breaking easily. For many, the tool simply did not work as expected, requiring the use of other tools to complete the job.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.tool keeps cutting screen that is next to spline
Would Not Recommendtool keeps cutting screen that is next to spline, so the wheel is too wide as you can hear it cutting the screen as you roll, it then makes the screen that is attached to the spline too thin, and within a few weeks holes/tears will appear.
Cheap material, poor quality
Would Not RecommendIts all plastic and does not feel sturdy. The retractable blade does not retract smoothly or easily (I had to pound it against my workbench) and the wheel edges are not smooth; I ruined a couple pieces of screen because the edge cut through the fabric

Screen Rolling Tool
Would RecommendI like that it has a cutter, but the wheel is bit too wide, and it makes it difficult to insert the flat spleen.

Doesn't Fit
Would Not RecommendDoesn't fit the track of the frames sold by Lowes. Get a metal one elsewhere.

Don't buy, stick with the old two wheel.
Would Not RecommendThe roller is far too wide for standard screens, I have large hands and the finger grips are widely spaced so you don't get great leverage, and the knife portion doesn't seem like it will hold up well.

Not professional. Not even entry level.
Would Not RecommendThe plastic is softer than a milk carton. Will not hold a blade even after trying to tape it together. The roller cuts the screen. No one from Lowes evaluated this before they put it on the shelf or tried to pass it off as a professional tool. I became so frustrated with it I jerked a knot in it. Will not recommend to anyone unless I hate their guts.
Does not work well
Would Not RecommendThe roller does not push the rubber gasket into the frame completely.
Works
Would RecommendWe had no trouble using this tool. It works much better with fiberglass screen versus aluminum or hard screen.
