Not worth the money.

The blade isn't secure inside the handle at all. No matter how much you tighten the bolts, it WILL slip out if you're trying to remove spline that is very old. I've had the blade come out 4 times in the first 10 minutes of use, and I managed to slice my thumb the last time. 0/10, do not recommend.

Waste of time and money

Doesnt fit into the groove on my screen frame and the sharp edges cut the screen while you're trying to roll the spline in. This is the only one my lowes ever has in stock. I've checked 3 different times in the last month and the other spline rolling tools are nothing but empty spaces on the shelf.

Works okay on fibreglass but NOT metal screen!

Without going into too much depth, one of our dogs made a Wile E. Coyote hole in a screen when she saw a dog who seems to be universally disliked in our neighbourhood, so I wanted to do a metal screen. Having purchased the aluminium screen and this tool, like one other review, it cuts both sides of the screen rendering it sort of useless. Bad design

Too wide and the scoop is too deep. The screen cutter is worthless.

Worked good, but the blade was wearing back through the plastic housing on only two screens.

This turned out to be very easy to use. Worth the extra cost compared to other ones.

Dangerous product

This tool works fine as spline tool, but the included razor blade was poorly designed. It is dangerous and has caused a deep cut in my finger. The razor blade randomly comes out when you grab the tool. There is no safety mechanism to prevent it from accidently from being deployed. This item needs to be removed from the store.

Wheel too thick

If you love having to do the same job twice then this is the tool for you. If you're trying to spline an aluminum screen it will cut it next to the spline because the wheel is too wide. Also, the hook cutter thing is sort of nice but a second wheel that isn't concave to help put the spline in further would me much much more useful. you need a knife anyways to cute the excess screen off so why would I need this little hook knife?

This tool get the job done

The perfect tool for prescreening window screens or screens for doors on patios.

Bad for .125

Roller is too wide for .125 spline groove. You will cut the screening as you roll it in. Looks good for a larger spline though. Lowe's doesn't sell a smaller version of this so, this is going back.

wheel too thick

The roller wheel is too wide so it just barely pushed the spline into the groove. Had to finish with flathead screwdriver.

Poor Tool

The roller only pushed the spline in halfway. Required pushing in spline with screwdriver to complete job. Blade didn't deploy or retract easily. Avoid this one and go buy a better screen tool.

Wouldn’t recommend

The blade constantly pops out while using it no matter what I tried.

Not well made

As soon as I tried to use it the metal piece on top fell off. Not made well at all. Buy the old style wood one for a few pennies more.
