Ratings & Reviews for Screen Tight 12-in Plastic Screen rolling tool ( Blade Included )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This screen rolling tool received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to use and effective, but most reported issues. The roller wheel was too wide, making it difficult to properly insert the spline into the screen frame groove, often resulting in an incomplete or uneven installation. The included blade/knife was poorly designed and tended to tear or cut the screen incorrectly. The overall build quality was low, with many reports of parts falling off or breaking easily. For many, the tool simply did not work as expected, requiring the use of other tools to complete the job.

Would Not RecommendThe outside of the packaging claimed to fit all size screens. It does not. The roller is very large, had to return.

Blade pulled out
Would Not RecommendWheel worked well. It may have been a little wide. After two windows the blade pulled out. I put it back and it pulled out with the next use. Buy a cheaper tool and use your own blade.

What a piece of junk
Would Not RecommendThe blade flew out during the second cut. I lost one of the nuts when it worked itself loose. Don't waste your money.
Too flimsy, flexible plastic
Would Not RecommendWhen trying to trim screen with built-in hooked blade, I pulled the blade right out of the flimsy plastic handle. I had to use a standard utility knife with a metal handle to trim the screen.

Didn’t work for me. The roller was too big for the groove in my frame and the knife cut the screen in the wrong places. I would like my money back.

Kinda cheap
Would Not RecommendI bought this to replace one I brought at Lowe’s twenty years ago. Used it for five minutes and returned it. I didn’t like the feel of it when pushing the twine in. Felt like it would break. My old one was metal and of course this one is all plastic. Just don’t think it’s strong enough for the job.

not quite everything
Would RecommendThe one I left at home this trip has a concave and a convex roller. This one at least added a knife. It works, but I had to revert to a screwdriver for the final pushes.

Screen tool
Would Not RecommendBought this to help replace my screens. One side has a roller which was too big to properly seat the screen into the frame. I had to buy the cheaper smaller roller to actually secure the screens properly. The other end however had a very useful razor for cutting the screen that worked great but could be done just as easily with a razor.
