[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the concept of Scott's Step Program. Knowing what is the right lawn care treatment to use at what stage of the growing season is a big help in getting me on track to having a lawn I can be proud of once again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Scotts step 2 does what it says. Straight forward and easy to use it destroys the weeds and thickens the lawn just after a couple of weeks. My lawn looks so much healthier now. I highly recommend Scotts. My lawn looks great!

Moderate Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this product to my lawn and I had mixed results. It may be due to the crazy weather we experienced in Indiana this year (very wet spring and very dry summer) so I am seeing more weeds than ever. Might get better results with all 4 steps being applied consistently

Easy to apply!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the problems with fertilizers is the difficulty in application, but not with Scotts. In addition to the ease of use, the product is outstanding and meets all aspects of what one would want out of a weed control lawn food. Simply said, I don't have a weed problem now.

Never Skip!

There has been a year where time got away from me and I thought "I can skip one year, no big deal." Mistake. Scotts 4 Step plan is a must for all of those fellow lawn lovers. Plus, it keeps my neighbors weeds at bay.

Knocked out all the weeds in the yard

I used it as a stand alone late(r) in the Spring as a Fertilizer boost and to knock out a few of the extra weeds from an Indiana dry spell...I still have the best lawn in the neighborhood!! Thanks Scott's!! Love this product! Follow the spreader instructions and give it a week or so...amazing results!

Awesome lawn finally !

Follow the direction for a healthy thick beautiful weed free lawn ! I recommend this product as I’ve tried many others but this is the best ! Thank you .

Weeds begone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this product about two weeks ago and am very pleased with the results. What few weeds I did have in my lawn are now gone! It has rained quite a bit since applying the product, and I don't know if that has accelerated the results or not. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that needs to attack weeds in their lawn and give it a good feeding.

Better Than Professional Results

Professional look

For years had a local well recognized lawn care business do our lawn. Just didn’t think it looked good enough. Asked a neighbor that had a great looking lawn what he used, and he told us Scott’s 4 step. We have used it for 3 years now and the lawn looks great. Easy to use and does what it says it will do!

Years and Years

Great stuff, the quality of the tiny rocks is the key. Cheap stuff is clumped.

Great product

I used the Scott's 4 step program for several years then tried another product one year. The results with the non Scott's product was terrible. Back to Scott's for the next 3-4 years. My lawn looks great!! I strongly recommend the Scott's 4 step program. A bit more $ than other products but well worth the investment.

Step 1 Green Lawn; Step 2 Brown Lawn

I bought Scott's 4-Step Program two years ago and had no problems with Steps 1, 3, & 4; however, not with Step 2. Even though I had followed the instructions on the Step 2 package, I ended up with brown spots and brown streaks in my fescue lawn. The Step 2 application did do a fairly good job of controlling dandelions and clover. However, the Step 2 application did an even better job of killing my fescue lawn. Attempts to re-seed the spots failed; the new grass withered and died shortly after s...

Used the step 2 upon a recommendation from the hardware store. Didn’t do a thing and now it says I shouldn’t apply anything else for 30 days. I am infested with Dandelions.

Burned my grass

Read directions and applied accordingly. My grass was green and plush prior to applying Step 2. Now burnt and or dead grass scattered in my yard. I read reviews of others having this issue but I ignored the warning. My bad. No more Step 2 on my lawn.

Step 2 no longer kills weeds

I think something changed in this product within the last two years. It weirdly did not kill any weeds. I thought I'd give it another chance, because nature isn't perfect, and the conditions may not have been perfect when I spread it out in the morning in mid-April. I experienced the same results this year. I definitely followed the directions. However, as of today, I have some of the biggest most robust clover, dandelions, and other weeds in the neighborhood. Terrible product!

Used this in June as directed. Killed some of my lawn and didn't touch clover or crabgrass! I have an abundance of crabgrass now and more clover!

Burned my lawn

Killed about half the weeds, but it burned my grass. Bought as a 4 step but will never use this again. I wish I could post a photo of the burned grass.
